I am a Story County, Iowa genealogist as well as a family genealogist. As a member of the Nevada Community Historical Society, I undertook to research the family history of the people who established the properties owned by the historical society and the project expanded from there.

I have been doing genealogy since I was teenager and love the research opportunities and record keeping computerized genealogy affords.

Thanks for the heads up on the dupes with variations on the spelling of the surname. I'll delete mine since someone seems to have linked the rellies on both memorials. Cheers!

Thank you very much for the pictures of Anton, Minnie Ness & Christina Johnson. I was unable to add the one for Ness & Christina to my ancestry file, I don't know why. The other two did fine. Appreciate the work you do.

RE: Thank you!!!!
So nice to hear. My mother always has lovely stories to tell about him. I would very much like to stay in touch with you. Would like to learn more about the Barber's. Do you know much beyond Joseph Barber and Margret Jane Wilson? One genealogist thought the lineage went back to Appling, GA but I am not sure that is correct. For some reason, Joseph Barber's father is listed as NY and as VA on various census records. Any information you might share would be most greatly appreciated! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Thank you!!!!
Thank you so very much for taking the picture of Mary Imo Carpenter Barber Davisson's gravestone.

Would you please add the name "Barber"? Imo married my great grandfather Morton D Barber. He died in the 1918 flu epidemic. She then married Lake Davisson of whom my mother has wonderful memories. I had a wonderful relationship with my great aunt Virgina, Imo and Lake's daughter. We exchanged letters until the end of her life. She used to picnic in NYC's Cental Park with Jasper Jones n Co. Virginia greatly influenced me through her letters. I only met her in NYC at age 2 so of course I did not know her outside except through our years of correspondence. I adored Aunt Virginia and always opened her presents first each Christmas.

Dorian,
Do you know how I would find out how many people are still living from the class of 1942. My mother was a graduate of this class. I just wondered when then last time they had a reunion? If there are any photos. I have on from 1997. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!!
Thank you for adding my great grandmother's memorial- Mary Imo Carpenter Barber Davisson. I hope that one day someone will be able to add a photo of the tombstone. I am trying to find a marriage certificate for her marriage to Morton Daniel Barber 18 Apr 1909. Not sure if they married in IL or IA. Should you ever run across any clues perhaps you might be able to let me know. Thanks again!

Jacobsen in Story City Cemetery
Hi Dorian
I recently saw that not only did you create my Great Aunt Catherine Quinn Jacobsen memorial but you have my Great Grandparents Michael and Rebecca Miner Quinn listed. I wonder if you have an interest in this family and if you would possibly know what happened to their daughter MaryJane born about 1917
Thank you for the memorial, your time and attention
