I was born in Chanute, Neosho County, KS a long time ago. Moved from Kansas in 1959. Since then I have resided in many states. Somehow I ended up back in Kansas for awhile. At the moment we have dual residency in Alaska and Kansas. My husband and I are retired contract electrical engineers. We have 10 children, 27 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
I had messed around with genealogy for a long time, but I got fully involved in family research in the early 80's. It became an addiction. With living in so many places, I was able to come up with a lot of family stuff, but, of course, have hit many brick walls. Thankfully, my husband finds this interesting so doesn't complain. I have pretty much dead-ended on my family, but occasionally, thanks to find-a-grave, I get a teaser clue that sends me hunting again.

Anna Marie is #54749046 4/30-5/1/1966. Infant is 54749049, born and died in 1967....so they must be different children. I found the stone for Anna Marie but not for the other....and I was at the
cemetery looking 3 days in a row!

If I were younger and healthier I would readily join this great band of volunteers and become an active member, myself. In lieu of that I sponsor as many direct ancestors as I can identify. Thank you for your part in this wonderful project. I would welcome a photo of Winifred's grave. Perhaps her parents graves are nearby, Dr. Ira and Isabel Steinberger? Almost exactly a year ago, you transferred management of Lillie to me. My mother had passed away just two weeks earlier, and I don't know if I ever saw your message and thanked you. Please forgive me for missing it, and accept my very belated thanks for all you do on FindaGrave.
