Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy doing genealogy; I've found numerous graves of my ancestors that someone had posted. I probably will never get to visit their graves, but "you" have provided that privilege to me. When I enter a memorial, I like to think it is someone's kinsman/ancestor they are looking for.
On my memorials, I try to add the parents' names, if I can find where they were born, it certainly can help with tracing them.
I especially like to find veterans (all wars) to honor them and will add a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one.

I welcome information to a memorial, or a correction. I usually don't edit or be judge and jury over whether to add it. Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial. I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer.
My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver and on it goes.

NOTE: I appreciate the person who posted that we need to look at our 'profile' page (top right) "Edits" to find requests for amendments to memorials we need to make for them.

THANKS:
With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfill for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

I added the information in his bio regarding his being a minister. Have a great evening! If you are related to him I'm happy to transfer him into your care. I am not related.

RE: Eliza J. (Mumford) Bortner, Neb
I've updated her memorial to reflect the maiden name as well as the fact she was raised by the Thatchers. I linked the Reverend's memorial in the bio.

I could not find him either. If you would contact the Historical society at Eureka in Greenwood county they may be able to locate him. Have a nice day Wonderer

I'm hesitating on adding the link to what you have as her father simply due to some conflicting information I have. I found this memorial and biography a while ago and it mentions that she was born a Mumford but reared by a Mrs. Thatcher.

The link is as follows: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ne/topic/resources/OLLibrary/mbrcd/pages/mbrd0681.htm

It's her husband's biography and is located at the very bottom of the page.

Rev. James Small-Halldale, Cemetery
I just fulfilled your request for James. I took the photo back in 2010 when I was traveling in that area. I put out a photo of the lot view and may have missed the names on the back of the monument. There were 4 foot stones. One says Granville the others say sister mother and father. One could make an assumption that the mother marker is for Martha. I am not 100% sure, so I didn't set anything up.

Sincerely,

Patti

Thanks for the transfer of my ROSE family. I think I may have thanked you already but I got a little confused and wanted to make sure I did thank you for your kindness because I really do appreciate it and have added and connected as I could.

Sincerely,

You posted a flower and some info on her memorial last year (Memorial# 11108704). I just wanted to let you know the information is correct according to her headstone. I just posted a photo of it.
