Just noticed when I was linking the Apgar family members that the man you've listed on Laura's page as her father is incorrect.
Her father is William B. Apgar (#37597787)
There are a few other links for the family I'll offer through Edit.
I'm a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County too and am familiar with the Apgar name thought the County. Small World!
Thanks so much,

I have a book "Colonial Families of NJ, Volume 3" by Pearson, 2007. Page 171 mentions that
Rynier Veghte, born 19 Feb 1754 , died 27 Feb 1833 , son of Hendrick Veghte and Pieternelletje Van Middleswaert, and 2nd wife Catharine (Caty) Van Wagenen born abt 1749 and died 15 May 1834 are buried in the Veghte Cemetery in Somerset County NJ. Rynier Veghte's 1st wife Catlintie (Catharine) Ten Eick is already listed as buried in the Davis Burying Ground.
Rynier Veghte served in the Revolutionary War as a Lieutenant and a Captain in the Second Battalion, Somerset County NJ
Would the Van Veghten Burial Ground you are in charge of be the same cemetery as the Veghte Cemetery ? It mentions that Rynier Veghte and his 2nd wife were buried on the Duke Estate in Somerset county NJ in the Veghte Burying Ground.
it quotes Somerset County Historical Quarterly as the source in the book.
(I saw your note saying if anyone knew of anyone else that was buried there to let you know, but i am not sure this is the same cemetery )

Please note that the tombstone for Florence under Memorial No. 35780273 reads WIEGAND, not WEIGAND. This stone is listed under WIEGAND for her parents, William Wiegand and Jennetta Apgar. Just wanted to make it easier to find. Lynne

Wayne, I am writing an article on 'The Unknown Dead in the Civil War', and I am including a section in my article on Groveton Cemetery. I found the very nice photograph you took of the UDC Monument in the Groveton Cemetery and would like to include it in my article. May I have your permission to do so? I will credit you in the photo caption: 'Photo courtesy of Wayne Apgar.'. Thanks very much, Donna

Hi, Wayne. I am an Apgar descendant as well and I appreciate you placing these memorials on Find-A-Grave. I have a question - Catherine's memorial says she is buried next to her husband, however Jacob W. Apgar's memorial says he is buried in a different cemetery. Which cemetery is this couple buried in? Kerr or Apgar Family cemetery? Thanks!
|susyq||Mary Davis Kitchen|
Hello, this is my first post. My grandmother was a Burgstresser, buried in Milford Union Cemetary along with several generations of Burgstressers, Daltons and Stevensons. My grandmother, Rachael Jane Burgstresser, had a corner cupboard that belonged to Mary Davis Kitchen. I have a photograph of Mary Kitchen. Sadly my grandmother didn't really explain her relationship with Mary Kitchen, however her mother was Mary Emma Riley (burgstresser). In a 1910 census I saw that a Robert Kitchen was in the household of her brother Austin Riley, all living in the Milford/Holland/Warren NJ area. I'm wondering what the relationship was between Mary Davis Kitchen and the Riley/Burgstresser family that they came in posession of the corner cupboard and her picture. Many thanks for any information. I am also working on the connection between the Daltons and Burgstressers and not finding conclusively that Rachael Jane Burgstresser, my gg grandmother was Rachael Jane Dalton (maiden name). Thank you for any information.
