I hope you are doing well.

Please accept my most sincere condolences.
|John Davis||Lilah Villar Cartter|
Lilah was my Great Great Grandmother. Her daughter Elizabeth M Cartter-Gregory was my Great Aunt and I knew her until her death at age 103. Aunt Bea still had her full faculties and would always tell us stories of David Kellogg Cartter and Abraham Lincoln coming to the Cartter Ranch and of the Gregory house on Spring Street that was built for her as a wedding gift by Charles Gregory. My mother just passed on August 5, 2013 and was the Great Granddaughter of Dr. William Haynes Hanford Cartter and Eulalia Delilah "Lilah" (Villar) Cartter. My mother will be laid to rest sometime in the very near future with her Mother Lilah M Blachly, and Grandmother Lilah "Tottie" Cartter Maule. My brothers and family still live in the area (Wichita, Kansas). I was very luck to know all of my Aunts and Uncles.

I found these directions online. I hope it helps.
The French Memorial Cemetery, also known as the Old French Cemetery, is approached through private property.
From Trinity, Texas, go south 3.4 miles on State Highway 19 to Farm to Market Road 3453, (Pinecrest Road). Turn left and proceed 1.4 miles to the junction with Old Riverside Road, turn left, go 0.4 mile. A side road enters from the left, barred by a locked gate.
