A Prayer for the Forgotten Dead

O merciful God, take pity on those souls who have no particular friends and intercessors to recommend them to You, who either through negligence of those who are alive or through length of time, are forgotten by all. Spare them, O Lord, and remember Your own when others forget to appeal to Your mercy. Let not the souls You have created be parted from You, their Creator. Amen.

Hi Patty
I am your cousin Evelyn.
Recently I came across Bud's name on this site with your nice posts and pictures of the extended family.
So I found a few pictures of John, Jean and Rudy Lowndes and added then to your postings.
Also one very young picture of uncle Lou Lowndes.
Thanks so much for all your efforts.
Evelyn

Locustwood cemetery - Cherry Hill
Hello Patricia,

I tried to help with your requests for Locustwood cemetery in Cherry Hill. The office would not help me. They said that because of a new privacy act, they need a request in writing to release the location of the tombstone. The cemetery is huge and the layout of the tombstones, it is like it exploded, the flat stones fell in all directions and they got covered with grass, utterly frustrating and impossible to search. Even I had other names with section numbers, but because they would not tell me where the lot was and because the few markers I could find were blank, I was unable to find them. If you can put the request forward and they tell you exactly where the graves are, and where in the section (more or less) are the lots, I will be happy to help, but otherwise, there is nothing I can do, I am so sorry :o( This is the phone number for the cemetery (856) 429-0500. I see now I am not the first researcher posting this to your wall, if you cannot get the information you may consider to withdraw the request, there is no way to help you :o(. Good luck! - Isabella

Can you please call Locustwood 856 429-0500 and get a specific location of this grave. I went there today to try to do the list for this cemetery and they claim they can only give info to a family member. I thought this somewhat ridiculous as a cemetery is a public place where anyone can visit. Also make sure when you get the location you ask the name of the person who is buried on either side of the person you are looking for. I spent two hours looking for one of my relatives and a worker there said I should have told them to give me the names of the people on either to make it easier to find. The people in the office were a bit rude and didn't seem to want to look anything up and they are not computerized
