If you see a family member, let me know and I will transfer them to you. I have alot of Surnames on my familytree that I would be glad to share I can be found on facebook.
Cooper Cemetery photo requests Greg, I am so thankful for the photos, especially the one for James Jordan. I can hardly believe the marker from the funeral home is still there after all these years. He was brother of my Great Grandfather, Charles L Jordan.
Thank you again for photos of the markers for Joseph Jarrell and James Jordan . You are so appreciated! Nina
Brown and Toney Families-Cooper Cemetery, Winifrede, WV Hi Greg! First I'd like to know just where this cemetery is located. I just spent several hours looking for it. I found Sawmill Cemetery. According to the satellite map, it's located before Sawmill Cemetery on the left side of the road. I asked someone who lives near where I think it's located, and he said he has lived in that area for most his life but doesn't know where it is. (He lives at the head of Coopers Hollow.) Second, my Dad's grandparents were Caroline Brown and William Henry Toney who are buried there. Do you know if they have a tombstone?
RE: Smith family Thanks Greg. You solved a big mystery for me. I figured she would be in Cooper since her husband was there. I had found all of her brothers, her husband and her mother and father, but could not find anything on her other than her marriage cert, birth dates, and death date. I had made a memorial for her in the hopes that she was there. Her mother Clara Bradford Green was my great aunt. Thank you for posting that death cert and the newspaper clipping. I plan on going back to Cooper Cemetery this spring and show another family member where Clara is buried. That cemetery is so hard to get to. You have to go through someone's back yard. I hope they don't mind. Thanks again.
Harvey Truman Burke Hi Greg. First, wow! Thank you for such dedication to Find A Grave! I am researching the Harvey Truman Burke line who is my son's great uncle. In an effort not to pester you, I have searched far and wide to find the newspaper article you included with Harvey's information. No luck. Surely it is a Charleston, WV newspaper. If you could give me a little more information then I can go to that source and retrieve that article and possibly his obituary. Thanking you in advance for any assistance and again, I am thankful for you and all others that dedicate their spare time gathering and documenting this kind of data.
Pauline Green Smith Greg, I noticed that you are researching the Green family. I am looking for a Pauline Green Smith who married Melbourne Smith and they lived in Winifrede. She was born on June 5, 1990 in Winifrede. Melbourne her husband is buried in the Cooper Cemetery in Winifrede, WV. You made a memorial for him in 2009. You have him dying in 1969 but there is no tombstone on his memorial page. Do you happen to know if his wife Pauline Green Smith is in there too or perhaps buried beside him? I was at the Cooper Cemetery two yeas ago looking for my aunt Clara Green and her husband Charles but at the time did not know Pauline was their daughter. I made memorials for my aunt and uncle and I also made a few memorials for others. So, I know that cemetery has not thoroughly been entered in findagrave. I am in hopes of finding Pauline without going to the Cooper Cemetery again. Any feedback you have will be much appreciated.
