Bio Photo My mother died less than 6 months ago on Dec.11, 2011, just 2 weeks shy of Christmas. Since that time I've developed a new appreciation for the gift of life in general and for my ancestors (those I knew and those before my time).

The majority of the memorials I create are for family, distant family and friends of our family.

Psalm 100
By the way, Psalm 100:5 is a good verse for family history research. :). Donna and I both know and love the Lord.

RE: Dallas Carpenter
Hi,
None of us have any photos either. Hard to believe. He died in early 1930's, and my grandmother's house flooded several times, and I was told all the photos were destroyed. Heart breaking to me. I don't know how he ended up in Boone County, but figured he went there for a job. She was pregnant when Dallas was electrocuted (my great uncle found him, wire wrapped around his leg), so he had a third child he never saw, a boy, James Robert. They are not buried in the same cemetery, she remarried and is buried as Ruby White. I will tell Donna about your message.

Dallas Carpenter
Hello,
I have been researching the Amos Carpenter family because my grandmother married Dallas Carpenter. Dallas was my dad's stepfather. Dallas Carpenter is buried in Jeffrey, West Virginia, but the name of the cemetery is Akers Cemetery; and if you look that up, you'll see he is listed in that cemetery. The photograph of his stone that Bonita has there, I have not seen, although I've been to that cemetery many times. I saw a flat stone, so maybe this one is newer. I plan to be there again on July 6th, so I'll look again!

I will be with Donna Carpenter, and she is the granddaughter of Dallas, so a cousin of yours. I'll let her know I found this listing on findagrave.

RE: Transfer request
I would be happy to transfer management. I researched Isaac & Elizabeth for my 2nd cousin, Juanita Crawford Rogers; they are her 4th great grandparents. We would be grateful for any information you have re: Isaac & Elizabeth.

RE: thnx
Sorry it took so long. I'm baby sitting chickens, dogs, cats, and horses this week for one of my brothers and with all these farm chores, I've only been getting online mostly at night.
Sandy
P.S. Like your user name. The 100th Psalm was the very first Psalm I memorized....way back in the 4th grade
