just a History junkie, I have always been interested in the vast collection of history in every cemetery I passed through. Now that I have the time I just decided to try to get pictures of every stone I found in every cemetery I could get to. I have a friend who took photos a few years ago for Oklahoma Cemeteries. I have noticed that many of the stones that she took photos of were 80 to 90 years old were still in fair shape (readable) but now the stones seem to have deteriorated to the point that they are not readable. I asked a few people what has happened in the last ten years that is causing these stones to decay much more than they did the eighty or more years before? A couple of people have said the reason is "acid rain" makes sense I guess so if that's the case we better get this history recorded. I am not a collector of memorials I just feel it is up to the living to remember the dead and help link the families so others can find there ancestors. The photos I take are posted to be shared I don't care about copyright as long as the purpose is to share with the family members. If there are family members who wish to maintain memorials that I have posted I will be glad to transfer to them as long as it's not from my family. Again I'm not in competition to see how many memorials I can make, it is just an O.C.D. thing (I'm crazy)! If I can help anyone find a long lost loved one it makes my day, I live in Adair County, OK. and will try to help find any grave within 100 miles of my home, good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise!|

Mr. Burnett, I was wondering if you would move the photo of Bud Gardenhire's marker on memorial #90081215 to Thompson Copeland "Bud" Gardenhire's memorial # 88677685. They are memorials for the same man. The one that was created first has the same old portrait attached and has family links, but it doesn't have your wonderful photo. I almost missed it because I wasn't looking for "Bud"!

Hi. I'm just wondering if you have any more info on Helen Drucilla Osborn? Thank you either way.
Good morning, wow that was quick, I was hoping my message wasn't too confusing. I sent edits to Yonda, hopefully the dup for Virgil will be deleted and links added to the originals. Thanks so much!

Thank you for his obit. However, I do not copy and paste complete obituaries nor do I list living person (s) names.

I am sure you have touched the lives of countless people with all of your hard work and the many memorials you have added to Find A Grave.
You are an inspiration; keep up the good work.
PS. Oklahoma is misspelled in your bio!
