I live in Chicago, Illinois and am working on records for my father's and mother's families primarily. |
I enjoy taking photographs of grave sites for photo requests. My priorities are sites with a location provided then by request date. Many places have requests that are several years old. You are welcome to use any of the photos I post as you wish. Requests for photo files or transfers are welcome. Email email@example.com or use the edit tab on a memorial.
Please provide a location in the cemetery for your photo request. Contacting the cemetery is usually successful at obtaining a location. Info about the presence of a grave marker may also be available and is helpful. Locating unmarked graves can be very difficult.
If you want a photo of mine removed from your memorial, or have higher quality photos than the ones I posted, please feel free to post them, then let me know, and I will remove mine.

|Ruth Watkins (Pew) Jaynes||RE: Ward Tombstone at Graceland Cemetery|
I just forwarded some information to you that I hope might help you locate the Ward tombstone in Graceland cemetery. Attached to one of the e-mails is Graceland's lot card for Section C, Lot 352. I am hoping that will help you. Again, thank you very much for doing this for me.

Thank you for your recent photo with explanation of location, added to the memorial of Civil War veteran, Burnett Johnson. Your time and effort is very much appreciated! I am not familiar with a grave site unmarked such as this one, being that Burnett Johnson was a veteran of the Civil War, I would think that even if family members were unable to place a marker, that our government would have done so ? I will be checking into this, but it may take some time....

Thank you so much for volunteering to take a photo of this tombstone!!! I am so sorry that you did not find it!!! I just called Graceland Cemetery to confirm the location of the tombstone and they again told me that there was one tombstone for Spaces 2, 3, 4, and 5 on Section C, Lot 352.
The Ward's that should be on the tombstone are William J. (Space 2), Mary (Space 3), Witley (Space 4), and William (Space 5).
I do not know if perhaps the tombstone is buried.
Could you perhaps check again, and maybe go to the office first, to get a map so you know that you are in the correct area?
Again - thank you so very much for doing this for me. I certainly will understand if you do not want to pursue this. But I wanted you to know that I followed up and was again told there was a tombstone there.
Many many thank!!!!!!!!!!!
I would edit my photo request to add some of the info I have provided you in this message, but can't figure out how to do that!!!

Thanks for taking the time to look, and photograph for me. I appreciate it. I approved those edits you sent, noting the grave is unmarked.

THANK YOU so much for all your efforts in photographing the location where these two souls are interred in unmarked graves. It would make perfect sense that they would be buried there along with other Kaempfer relatives. I especially appreciate your inserting comment/descriptions along with your photographs.

Feel free to make memorials for the additional souls found with Walter B Coles. I'm really interested in Charles Albert Coles and his wife, Mary Ann (Kaempfer) Coles. The Graceland Cemetery research department indicated they were interred in Section D, Lot 520. Perhaps their graves are unmarked?

I sincerely appreciate your dedication in contributing such beautiful photographs for so many of the Carr family, nearly a dozen, with additional family links to the Kaempfer, Schlotthauser, Veesenmeyer and Otto families.
You've honored their memories so beautifully,
