Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ancestors settled in northeastern Indiana in the 1830s and I am still here. I especially like old obituaries and newspaper clippings, and of course, cemeteries.

I generally follow the transfer guidelines as outlined by Findagrave. I try to get updates done quickly.

Exceptions: I often take photos when we go on vacation, so if I have a memorial that is not in NE Indiana, I am normally more than happy to transfer it as I have no plans to do research in those areas.

Thanks to all who have sent additional information for the memorials. Time does not allow me to thank each of your personally, but please know that the additional information is greatly appreciated.

Deppen
I'm happy to report that that Deppen marker (memorial #130521243) has been removed by the cemetery. No one is buried in that spot. Thank you- Shirely Pace

Thomas Hubler
Sheryl,
You don't happen to have Thomas Hubler's obit from Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw do you? If you had it, it would save me some research. Thanks,
Eric

RE: Thomas Lynch
Hi Sheryl,
working on my Lynch family today and realized Thomas who died in 1856 was the son of Thomas and Catherine, not Mary & Matthias. Mary was actually his sister. All those name repeats are so confusing. Mary and Matthias did have a son named Thomas, but he couldn't be that old. I was looking for naturalization records downtown today and found Thomas' - originally thought it was his fathers, but had his age as 21 - he applied in May and died in July. I am sure he is not really buried there, since there was no cemetery there, unless they reinterred him at the same time as his father. I submitted edits for his parents. didn't want to just do that without an explanation. Did you tell me before if this is your family too?

Oscar Weaver's Headstone Navy Emblem
Good morning, Sheryl, when time allows, could you describe the Navy emblem on this headstone? I believe that this Oscar B Weaver may be a Marine that I'm looking for, and his birth year is a best match for my search; if the emblem is an eagle, globe and an anchor, that would point towards the Marine Corps. Thank you for your time, - Top

Fenstermacher - 76405328
I am just curious if you are also researching the Fenstermacher family. Russell and his brother George were cousins to my grandmother. Willing to share info. if you are researching this family.

Charles Fusselman #97210430
Hi Sheryl, I have made a big mistake and hope you can help me correct it. First, a little history, my mother-in-law grew up in a family with 15 brothers and sisters. Her mother had 3 children and married a man with 8 children and they had 5 children. Easy to get confused, and I did. I submitted a link for Charles but to the wrong mother, within 24 hours it was posted. Now I have submitted a change and it has been over 2 weeks and still hasn't been posted. Charles G Fusselman is the son of Otto Fusselman #21127229 and Cora M Woods Fusselman #35326254. Is this something you can help with or is it all automatic. Thanks for your input.

RE: Adam McKeand
Hi Sheryl,
Thank you for your reply. I have been transcribing obits and cite the newspaper. Don't believe they have removed any of mine. Pictures(which a scan actually is) are considered copyrighted and some outfits are getting rather feisty about what they consider 'theirs'. But someone was probably paid to scan the obits and some newspapers charge a fee to access the files.
Clarissa isn't the mother to any children, her information doesn't match his children's and she married Adam after they were born. Was trying to find something to verify who his wife was, hoped the obit was it.
Appreciate your efforts,
Terry

Adam McKeand
Hi
You have entered a memorial for Adam McKeand #130090489. If you are related I have information you may want. You mentioned an obit in the bio for him. Do you still have it? I would sure like to have a copy or transcription.
Thanks for all you do,
Terry
