**A number of emails between this site and my Gmail account have not reached me, possibly as far back as early August, based on notifications for corrections I've submitted. If you have sent a SAC at ANY point and have not heard from me or seen changes on the requested memorial, please resend it.**|
I currently am in St Clair Shores, Michigan, although I try to make it home to Belton, South Carolina as often as possible.
When I'm not working on genealogy or in cemeteries, I homeschool my son, play in my (small) garden and harbor a nearly unhealthy love for old houses.
I welcome any corrections, additions or duplicate notifications and will try to get them corrected as soon as possible - please use the "Edit" tab to make all requests, as that helps to ensure I know exactly what memorial you are referencing.
It's important to remember that the purpose of Find A Grave is to find a grave. Click on the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left hand side of the page to review naming conventions and what to do if you do not know a persons burial location. Memorials that follow the naming conventions allow a person to be found by their friends and family in addition to helping prevent duplicate memorials from being created.
Please realize that those who spend their own time to clean up errors found in memorials are doing so out of respect to those who have been memorialized.
Remember - it's not about you, it's about the people who have come before you.

Thank you for pointing out possible duplicate memorials in the Dean Cemeteries in Edgefield and Saluda Counties, SC. I was unaware of the cemetery in Edgefield County. There do appear to be two cemeteries a few miles apart. The one that I recorded in Saluda County contains three formal markers and thirteen additional graves marked by fieldstones or "sinks".
The described location does not match that of the other cemetery and neither do the photographs and description of the Edgefield cemetery. I will visit the cemetery in Saluda County and photograph it. It appears that possibly two memorials in the Edgefield County cemetery are actually in the other smaller cemetery in Saluda County. Thanks again,

I have visited Gaines Cemetery twice recently, and photographed all of the graves. It's in good condition and is surrounded by a high chain-link fence with a locked gate, so I had to take my photos through the fence. They came out okay, though. I added a lot of missing memorials, and all the photos I took. I saw that you added most of the memorials that had been there already, and thought you might want to take a look at what I've added. Sounds like you may have some older photos to compare. I did not see a marker for your memorial for R. Bagwell, but I did add one for R. Gains. Not sure if this could be the marker you saw lying flat. The dates don't really match, but you might want to take at look at your photos and compare in case it's the same marker. I think I also sumbitted an edit or two to some of your memorials. Let me know if you see any issues with anything I've added!

Thank you, Courtney. By the way, I visited Hudson Cemetery today in Malta, IL. and made several edits on memorials you've made. I also photographed the entire cemetery.

Thank you for uploading memorials for those buried at Robinson Cemetery in DeKalb Co., IL. May I ask how you got their names? No stone exist, but I read on the cemetery's homepage that the remaining stones (that weren't stolen or vandalized) were moved to a nearby farm. Do you happen to know where?

Thanks for your reply. My cousin actually found the mistake.

I've met Mr. Zanger's brother, and I know that photo was shown on the news frequently her in Detroit.

That's too bad that someone would add it without being informed.

I know this a little odd but I do metal detecting as a hobby, it's always fun to return a lost item when possible. I recently found an old drivers license from 1949, it's vintage & made of copper. The reason I'm messaging you is because when I research this person I find his grave information & you uploaded the images to his profile.
Is there any way to find his relatives to possibly return this? Maybe grand kids?
Thanks for reading!
