Transfers under the following guideline. I've learned a long time ago you can't please everyone and I'm not going to try. For you who like to break the rules, don't waste your or mine time. If your request is outside my guidelines, I will ignore and delate your request.|
Generation 1: your family -- Husband - wife - your children - son-in laws - daughter-in-laws - grandchildren.
Generation 2: your and spouse parents -- Father - Mother - aunts - uncles - 1st cousins - wives and hubands of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Generation 3: Grandparents - their siblings and their children -- huband and wife of siblings and children.
Generation 4: Great Gradparents - their siblings and their children - huband and wife of siblings and children.
NO transfers beyond the great-grandparents and NO transfers of Revolution Soliders or Civil War Soliders or Sailors.
This is a MUST!!! You have to tell me your RELATIONSHIP to the person you want transfered and PROVE if I shoud ask FOR proof. No relatonship...no transfer.
Don't waste my time with: I went school with...I do research for another person would you consider transfering...they were neighbors to my grandparents...I work with this person...they were my neighbors when I was a kid...just this once would consider breaking the rules...ect. ect. ect. If you are not related, forget it. My transfers go to family members who fall within the guide lines.
For you who think there should be no rules and should transfer every request that comes down the pipe, take it up with Find A Grave. They're the ones who set the rules.
CORRECTIONS: For you impatient persons who believe your request should be answered in a 24 hours period of time. Get Real! I may have 30 or 40 other requests before yours comes in. I do answered all corrections but it might take several day or weeks. I don't spent 24-7 at the computer. I know this is hard for you to believe but I do have a life outside the computer. I do have family and friends I spent time with, I have a part time job, yard ward, house keeping, grocery shopping, library research, visiting cemeteries for tombstones to photograph, searching cemeteries for requested tombstones and other chores that has to be do.
MY PERSONAL GOAL: My reason for joining Find A Grave is to presrve graves and their tombstones. That's where the bulk of my time on the computer goes, adding people and their tombstones. Corrections and tranfers are done when I can find extra time in the day. So if it takes me one or two months to answering your requests, so be it. Don't give me any guff, that if I can't keep up with the requests, I should transfer the memorials to someone who can. Get Real!! It won't happen!

Can you transfer memorial 89520233 to me. This is my mother. The edits and additions I've made, should be adequate proof, but if not, let me know.

I would like to ask permission to use your photos of the above named memorial for my family history and on Ancestry.com. I would, of course, credit you with the photos. She was my cousin once removed.
Also, when you get a minute, could you correct the inscription transcription, please? It should be "daughter of E.S. and Annie C." Her father was Edward S. Shoemaker.
Thank you, again for the work you do, it is appreciated.

What link do you have that William A. Thomas is the child of Virginia Catherine Jackson Thomas. W. A. Thomas is my great grandfather. It has been proven that Annie P. and Matthew L. are the children of Virginia and I have a lot of info that William is her son. But, what is shown in the Baldwin Cemetery records is as close as I have found. Been searching for about fifteen years.
|Fred Thomas||Date of Death|
I am trying to find the death date for Virginia Catherine Thomas memorial #69447590 Baldwin Cemetery in Mound City, MO. I see the picture of the gravestone with her birth date but the death date looks like it could be hidden under the grass or dirt just below the birth date. Can you or is their a caretaker that I could contact that could try and see if the death date his hidden below the grass or dirt under the birth date. I believe it is my great grandmother but their are no death records that I can find.
Any help would be very much appreciated,
