|If I add marker or cemetery photos to a memorial or cemetery that already has a photo, it has nothing to do with you. Many times it's just a slightly larger photo of the marker, or a closeup, or a different angle. Or sometimes it's just because I have a lot of heart involved in a person's memorial. The main reason is that markers deteriorate so quickly sometimes that I want to preserve as much as possible while we can.|
I've been doing genealogy for over 20 years. I had never made a major focus on cemeteries or burials until the last 10 years or so. Now they are very important to me, since I've learned how much more they can tell us about family and history.
Like most of you probably, my family and friends attempt to hide my eyes or distract me when we pass a cemetery. I could probably find a burial related to me or someone I know in most cemeteries in the United States
Most of all I'm grateful to all the wonderful individuals who created and maintain "Find-A-Grave" to help preserve the memories and images of our world-wide family, as well as the other everyday people who contribute here!

|4th Michigan Infantry||George Barber info|
Thank you for your kind comment and the correction for George Barber's memorial. I have updated the memorial according to your suggestion.
|Kathi White||Elizabeth Hurd Banister 81454271|
Is it possible to check and see where the info originated that places Elizabeth as being buried in Old Towne Cemetery in Darien, New York. The cemetery is also known as Humphries and Broadway Rd. I ask because I am adding names to theis cemetery using this site http://genesee.bettysgenealogy.org/hump.htm and she is not listed as being buried in this cemetery. I will await a reply. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for adding information on Eugene Fry. (Seems that he is your uncle?)
Growing up, I knew him as Grandpa Gene/Grandpa Fry, as he married my grandmother, Toni.
I've been wondering where he has been, and been searching for years. I thought he'd be getting up there in years. The grave was never updated with his death year when I went home to visit and stopped by, so I've assumed he was still alive.
Glad to have some resolution.
Out of curiosity, when he passed away, do you know if there were any family photos that were distributed, or who they would've gone to? He had quite a few photos of my Grandma Toni's family that he wanted to keep, and they were relatives he had never met, but my direct descendants. I'd love to see copies of those photos again. I remember the cupboard where they were stored!

Thank You so much!
|Lora Treadwell||John H #77253089. and Barbara Ebmeyer|
I found John's obit at the Public Library of Saginaw and they provide them at no cost...gives Barbara's last name as Beech....still can't find them in the census. When you can please add Barbara's maiden name. If I obtain a copy of their obits, I'll post them .... thank you.
|Lora Treadwell||Barbara B. Ebmeyer|
Thank you for posting the info and gravestone photo for Barbara and her husband John H. I am wondering if you have more info on Barbara? The reason that I ask is because I am researching a Frank Emerson Phelps who married an Eleanor and in her obit it mentions a sister, Mrs. John Ebmeyer. If I could find Barbara's maiden name that would give the sisters maiden name. Hope you can help....thanks.Lora
PS have been checking the census with no success yet. I did find a John J. Ebmeyer married to a Daisy V. Sykes Ebmeyer In Mountain Home in Kalamazoo but haven't been able to find a Sykes family with daughters, Eleanor and Barbara or Daisy.
|Jennifer Stansfield||RE: Dorothy DeVere Coryelle Rademacher|
Dorothy's middle name is DeVere and her maiden name is Coryelle. Dorothy is the daughter of James George Coryelle and Naomi B. Hummel.
|Sheri Nozawa||RE: Maxwell|
Thank you!!! I'll see what I have on hand to add and what my mom can add.
|Karen Terkeurst Foster||Glen Clark 40736159|
FYI his middle name is Morrell, not Moore.
Morrell is a family name, carried down quite a few generations. His son is named Morrell E Clark, for example. (Glen is my great grand uncle.)
Thanks for recording his burial site. I did not know where it was until I found it on Find a Grave
