I have posted quite a number of gravestone photos on Findagrave for my ancestors and enjoy hearing from yet-to-be-discovered cousins.|
My most numerous surnames on Findagrave include CRAIN, LAUBENSTINE, LAUBENSTEIN, BEIDELMAN, DILBONE, DORSEY, LINDSAY, JOHNSON, HECKMAN, ROCKEFELLOW, SIMMONS and McCLURE.
Genealogy has been a life-long hobby. I made an exciting discovery in 2009 finding that my paternal grandfather's birth surname was actually LAUBENSTINE and not really LOWE.

|Kim||RE: Are You Related to # 54750883?|
Rich, I am not related to your grandfather. I have no relations in Iowa. I probably was strolling through the virtual cemetery and just put a flower on his memorial. Thanks for asking because you never know who is out there that could be related.

I am not connected with James Brown, I took over the Pioneer Cemetery entries when another member became inactive so I don't know how the date was arrived at, but the Warren County (OH) Gen Society
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohwarren/Cemetery/Pioneer/ba.htm#JamesBrown also shows a death date of 1820. No mention of a wife though. I'll be happy to transfer his to you if you'd like :)

The connection was part of my uncle Keith Lingenfelter's research into the family tree that lasted for 40 years. I have some copies of his original papers. He sometimes made a mistake in spelling here and there but he did all the research on his own in the days before computers by searching through records and cemeteries. Hope that is a satisfactory answer. fjl

Thanks for the info, she has been linked to other family members.

I have several other photos including Thomas and Mary Ann Whitmore but they were not buried beside the others.

|Wendy Robinson-Derocher||Sawyer connection|
You posed the question - Are we related - Could be. Until I began this trip back in history the only thing I knew about my mother's heritage was her mother's maiden name (LaBar)(there is a LaBar/Sawyer connection). The fact is my mother knew only that much about her roots (it's complicated). It's been a great trip so far but I had no idea what a mixture of nationalities I came from. So if you are a descendant of Sofia Sawyer,then I guess we are related. Wendy If you wish you can contact me @ email@example.com
|Jay Boone||Howe in Forest Lawn|
Rich, I went to Forest Lawn today and took photos of Thomas and May Howe's headstone. The Stengel and Lowe headstones that are in Section 25 are all under a foot of snow, so it will probably be another month before I can get photos of those stones. The good news is I know right where they are and can find them easily.
|Larry Dean Sturgeon||Sturgeon/Crain|
Rich - I do apologize. I just saw your post from 2011 today. Yes, my Ancestry is from the original Samuel Sturgeon who migrated to Philadelphia from Ireland around 1720/1730. Depending on what you read and from whom. Sturgeon from Ireland to Pennsylvania to Kentucky and then Indiana. If you wish to share please contact me at larrydsturgeon at hotmail.com Thank you. Always enjoy sharing what I have collected.
