|Hamilton Smith||Clendon Pruitt|
Hello, David -
Is the above gentleman a relative of yours? To my knowledge, Wilma Jean Prosser, my mom's sister, was married to Roy Emory at the time of Clendon's death. There is a record of my aunt only being married to James A. Prosser.

David thanks for leaving flowers on my sister's grave at Mt Pisgah, Gadsden, Al.
For all who might be interested we have a Pruitt (all spellings) on June 27th at Noccacula Falls Kiwanis Pavillion.
There is a lot of family information available .
|Ted Mosteller||William A. Prewit|
Do you have information about William A. Prewit?
If he was who he appears to be--he was my Great Grandfather by blood.
The info I have is that a Mr Prewet was to marry Rosa Hudson who he impregnated before his early death from pneumonia.
My Grandmother was Willie Chapman Franklin who was born 16 March 1904 and adopted by David Chapman--marrying Rosa 12 June 1904.
William A. Prewit is reported to have lived between Dec 7, 1881 and Nov. 4,1903 which fits the timeline and is buried in Pisgah cemetary.

Thank you for leaving flowers on my grandmother's grave site. My grandfather John A. Pruett came to IL from KY to work for the railroad. His father was Joseph W. Pruett of Merrimac, KY. Joseph married Martha Murrell. Joseph's father was Major Pruett born in Virginia & died in Kentucky.
My grandfather's brother & sister were Jane & James Pruett. Uncle Jim lived in Elizabethtown & Aunt Jane lived in Liberty, KY. I remember visiting my Kentucky relatives when I was a child. Many wonderful memories & a love for Kentucky.
My name is Kathy and I've been searching my family tree for about 2 years now on Ancestry. There is so much information that I'm trying to sort out. My mother's name is Ruby Marie Andre, her mother's name (my grandmother) is Ruby Pruitt. My great grandfather's name is John Thomas Pruitt, my great great grandfather is George Parker Pruitt. There are so many Pruitt's in Kentucky with same first names that it is getting very confusing. With so many names how were you able to sort them all out?
|Gaye Hill||Elizabeth Louise Hill Pruitt|
Hello David -
Find A Grave Memorial# 50510827 is where you left flowers. I am NOT exactly related to this line, but am researching the HILL side and looking for the parents of Elizabeth's father, Wilburn Hill.
But in my research, I always come across information that others may need. So here is Elizabeth's obituary.
Seymour Daily Tribune newspaper, Seymour, IN
Monday 6 December 1937;Front Page , Column 4
Mrs. Pruitt Is Called Beyond
Aged Woman Dies Sunday at Home of Daughter in Greenwood
Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Pruitt, age seventy-five, residing on Norman rural rout 1, two and on-half miles west of Houston, died at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Davis Adams, in Greenwood, where she had gone a week ago to visit.
Mrs. Pruitt had been ill for the past two years with heart disease.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Houston Church. Burial in the Houston Cemetery.
Mrs. Pruitt was born on September 30, 1862, near Houston on the farm where she resided at eh time of her death. She was the daughter of Wilburn and Nancy Lutes Hill and lived all of her life in this county. She was married in 1880 at Brownstown to Dunham Pruitt, who survives.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and was well known throughout the western part of the county.
Besides the husband, Mrs. Pruitt is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Adams, at whose home she died; Mrs. Delmar Croucher and Mrs. Cleve Mobley, both living on Norman rural route 1 and a sister, Mrs. Jack Goble, residing on Norman rural route 1. A son, Vernon Hill Pruitt, preceded her in death.
I don't know if your email is the same, but I also sent you via the address on the memorial.
Should you discover Elizabeth's HILL grandparents, please keep me in mind.
Happy ancestor hunting!

David, you have helped me once before and I can see I need a lot more help. You seem to be the best source I have found and your information is so correct. Thank you so much for gathering all this information.
How could I get your family tree for the Pruet
side (my mothers side) from you.
My Grandmother Alta Elizabeth Pruet(Gibson)(Goodwin)(Aufdenkamp) 3-6-1908 Died 5-29-1967
Her father Jyles Leslie Pruet 1885-1935
Robert Gregory Pruet 1856-1936
Walter Evert Pruett 1827-1917
etc. You said we were related back to Henry James Pruitt 1654.
I suspect I may be asking a lot and do not know how to reciprocate fairly. Tell me what I need to do so I can gather more information. I would be happy to pay for printing, mailings, etc. Or send pictures etc. Alta Elizabeth Pruet, Jyles Leslie Pruet and his father Robert Gregory Pruet were in New Mexico in 1909 and I have pictures of them all out west on their homestead. They surveyed for the railroad and I even have pictures of their conestago wagon.
