|Dan Oh||RE: flowers|
Sister m. Catherine Laboure Roarty in Immaculata Cemetery, Chester County, Pa. Findagrave #43011351.
Since you left flowers on that grave, I assumed you were interested to know there was a tombstone image. If you were just placing random flowers then I guess you can disregard.

You left flowers at this grave. Just wanted to let you know I added the tombstone image if you're interested.

|Susan||RE: Joshua Barnes|
It can be confusing, since the family used so few given names. I have Joshua as the son of Samuel Barnes (died ca 1782/1783) and Sarah Dean. I got that info from "early wills of westchester". Am I sure? No I'm not. It's possible that Joshua, son of Samuel, is a different Joshua. But I'm sure enough to stick Samuel into the gedcom. Not sure enough to bet my life on it though. However, I've been unable to connect Samuel to the Long Island Barnes family that's so well documented. Do I think they're related? Absolutely. Geographically and chronologically, they're right where they should be. Can I link them up? No.
Sarah Dean, Joshua's mother, fyi,was the daughter of Nicholas Dean and Deborah [Seaman?]. Nicholas Dean was the son of Jonathan Dean & Margaret [Oakley?]. Jonathan Dean was the son of Samuel Dean and Anne Holmes, who also came north from Long Island. Samuel was the son of Samuel. That's where I lose them completely.
Joshua's wife Rebecca Shute was the daughter of Thomas Shute. No clue what her mother's name was, but I am sure of her father's name. None of these graves still exist. They were on old farmland that disappeared under roads in the New Rochelle/Eastchester area a long time ago.
I have tons and tons of info on Joshua Barnes' descendants. May I ask who you're descended from? I'd be thrilled if you're from one of the missing children, who I think were named Joshua and Thomas (but again I'm unsure). I have alot of info on the other kids, and would love to hear from you. I've spent an enormous amount of time tracking the Barnes family. It took a few years and alot of death certificates and obituaries, but I succeeded. If you want to contact me, my email address is Sbrehm@aol.com. If you write, put "Joshua Barnes" in the subject line, so I don't delete you as spam
Hope to hear from you

I am the daughter of Lyle. Is there a problem with the headstone that I should know about?
If so please be kind and let me know...

I have been scrolling through messages from the past and tracking down ones relating to Heleker. I had taken some requests for that family in the past. Are you related to :

Thank you for sponsoring this memorial. I'm not related to this individual--I'm in the habit of taking photos of redstone headstones when I see them, since they can become damaged so easily by the weather that they may be gone next time I get to that cemetery. I'd be happy to transfer the memorial to you if you'd like; just let me know.
