RE: Jane Carter
In the 1970's, a lady submitted an application to NSDAR claiming that Jane Carter who married John Sellers, was the the daughter of Matthew Carter and Cass. Barber. It was accepted.

I have also heard that Jane Carter, who married John Sellers, was the daughter of Matthew Carter and Patience Lamb.

I can't prove this line as Jane and John Sellers' documents along with their son John's burned in Appling County before the Civil War.

RE: Taylor family
I have been working the Woolmarket Taylor's for quite some time and my childhood friend contacted me to help him with them. His mother was a Taylor, Ancestor Serreno and Spencer Whitfield is their ancestor. If you need any research on them, I probably have a good bit.
Just ran across some papers on Serreno's wife, she was the sister of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Never know what I will find.
My computer was at the technicians last week, windows had crashed. I have a back up with carbonite, so I don't loose stuff.
I had been looking for Marianne Emerline Bell Taylor (wife of Spencer Whitfield Taylor) and I finally found her in Repton Methodist Church Cemetery, Repton, Connecuh County, Alabama. She had been married before to a Peterman and he died in the Civil War of Typhoid Fever and I found him buried in Warrenton Cemetery Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia, so if you are looking for him and her, that is where they are.

Keep that confederate flag flying. Our ancestors need the respect.

You weren't kidding about the bugs.lol We left home at 4am and got there just in time for the 9:30am church service at Salem. We met someone at the church who has a key to the cemetery. He drove us there from the church and let us in. Afterwards he took us to where Samuel Davis' house used to be. It was a completely awesome experience.

Linda I have sent you request to transfer several memorials to me. They are my Wife's Family. I had requested from Mae to transfer with no response, then realized she had died and was buried in Texas. on several occasions I tried to get them transferred with no response from Find A Grave. Thank you.

Carter Cemetery
This weekend I'm driving 5 hours to visit my 5th great grandfather Samuel Davis in Carter Cemetery. Is it on private property? Do I need permission from someone first? I tried calling and emailing the Salem church but don't get a response. Thank you for your help.-Jenny
