Hello, my name is Karl Stelly. I'm 62 years old, and I'm originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've lived in Baytown, Texas, Tulare, California, Great Falls, Montana, Killeen, Texas, Manassas, Virginia, and Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Gettysburg with my wife about 10 years ago. I enjoy roaming the battlefield and photography, and studying the history of Gettysburg and the Civil War. I have quite a few photographs of Gettysburg and other Civil War battlefields and other historic sites posted on Google Earth. I use the name "Seven Stars" on Panoramio and Google Earth. If you see photos there by "Seven Stars," that's me!

Feel free to use any of the headstone or grave photographs I have taken for your genealogy work, projects, etc. There is no need to ask permission first. I have no problem with people using my photos on other websites. Just give me credit for taking the photos, is all I ask.

**** NEW !!!! ****

I have recently created Virtual Cemeteries for each individual State Plot in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. This enables people to have very handy listings of all the known burials within each State Plot at Gettysburg. I have also included a Virtual Cemetery for the United States Regulars buried in the National Cemetery (at least all the KNOWN ones). Enjoy!

Karl thank you for your post of my father. My parents separated when I was 11 years old and I did not have any contact with my father before he passed. I knew little of him except that he was in the Army. I was able to obtain his DD214 however any records beyond that I was told were destroyed in a fire. I uploaded some old photos of him left by my mother. Thanks again.

Sincerely Harry Rosenfeld

Presbyterian and Associate Reformed Cem, Gettysburg
I am trying to find the men who were first buried at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Graveyard and also the Associate Reformed Graveyard, but not sure if there are on Find A Grave. Any hints on searching, I think both are no longer in exsistance.

is there a way to find these two graveyards where Union Soldiers were buried after the battle of Gettysburg before being moved to the National Cemetery? I see a few listed here and there but didnt know if a search can be made and how to do that. since the graveyards, I think are now gone.

Hello Carl, thanks very much for contacting me, I do see a memorial for him at St. Mary's and I have subsequently deleted my memorial. All the best, Jeff.

Karl, thank you ... I've added your marker photo to document place of burial in his record in the Coffelt Database of Vietnam casualties at http://www.CoffeltDatabase.org.
Thank you for helping us to remember him properly ...
