Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Knoxville, Tennessee and enjoy local history and family history.

I am attempting to locate the men of the Sixth Tennessee Infantry, USA 1862-1865 and the 6th US Volunteer Infantry "6th Immunes" Spanish American War 1898-1899. I welcome any assistance on these mens gravesites.

I am also a volunteer with the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial Association in Knoxville, Tennessee. A memorial dedicated to the men of East Tennessee who have died while in service to our country from World War One to current date.

Tommy Wood
6th Infantry
Jeff, I see you're looking for people who served in the 6th INfantry, also known as the Tennessee Volunteers.

My gg grandfather Francis H Bounds, led that infantry early in the war, but was disabled while jumping off a train during a rebel attack. He later resigned.

His Find A Grave # is 29040567.

Amy Mays Emert
James Franklin Mays
Hi Jeff. My name is Amy Mays Emert and you listed my
3Xgreat-grandfather James Franklin Mays #14407972 on FindAGrave back in
2006. Thank you! I am wondering where you saw that the "F" in his name
stands for Franklin. I have only seen it as "F" and am wanting to make
sure that it is Franklin and not Fleming, which is his father's name.
Please let me know if you just thought "F" stood for Franklin, or if
you have found a document that actually states that it is Franklin.

Thank you,
