Thanks for obit, posted. Such a sad event.
I mistakenly deleted the two "PADFIELD" suggestions you sent me before I had read them. Could you please resend? Fred
|Glenn Harris||Elias J Oryall|
Thanks for the heads up.
Just a note to let you know that it is my understanding that Edward M. Oryall and Elias Mitchell Oryall are the same person. Why his tombstone says Edward is a mystery that I don't have an answer for but as his father, Joseph Oryall changed his name from Ariail to Oryall when he immigrated to the US from Canada there aren't a whole lot of them around and the area of the country and the dates match. Even his father Joseph's obituary shows he was no longer using Elias but was referred to as E. M. Oryall.

|Susan White||Gary and Randy White|
I am Susan, Randy White's surviving wife. I would like for our wedding anniversary to be corrected. It is listed as June 15th and it was on his birthday July 15th. I will also be sending you a picture of his headstone. Also, Jason White is Gary WHite's son, Randys nephew and Elbert Lee White is Gary and Randys father and Jason's grandfather. Thank you.

Hi! I noticed your message to Ann Broadbent about my uncle's sister Maude, and not knowing where she is buried. It is at Sawmill Hill Cemetery. I copied her obit for you:
Maude Lela Wikle Yarborough, 92, of the Needmore community, Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 in a Swain County hospital.
A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl DeHart Wikle and wife of the late William E. Yarborough. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mae McHan, Nancy Jane King and Pauline Sutton; and two brothers, Elvert Wikle and Earl Wikle.
Sur viving are her sister, Edna DeHart Sutton of Bryson City, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The Revs. Max Cochran and Phil Robinson officiated. Burial was in Sawmill Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
