I am currently working on the Virginia Point Cemetery in Fannin County, Texas. I have a personal "family tree" file of the Virginia Point and Bell-Youree (AKA Old Virginia Point) Cemeteries. I am taking my time putting them on Find-A-Grave. Sometimes I have information to give them that they don't because I may have actually known the person or heard the story. I've gone to Virginia Point Church since 1971. I have found that some of my distant relatives are related to the people here.
If you are not familiar with this area the Cemetery is North of the towns of Bells on Hebron Road (Grayson County) and Savoy on County Road 1200 (Fannin County). This is the same road!

RE: Orrell Gist Couch
My husband grew up in the neighborhood. He attended the church with his grandparents. On a visit we went out there.
I enjoy doing it. I am going to track down who else is buried there. We found at least 6 more headstones that are partially buried.

William Melton Grantham #41652453
Hi my name is Sandra Creamer and I am a descendent of Thomas Nath. Grantham. His parents were James and Jamima. Which makes him a brother of William Melton. So I am just curious as on William's grave site why it states that William parents are assumed to be James and Jamima?

Goldie and Ray Monroe
I believe you are right, you have a birth document that clearly states the parents names and the stones show that they are brother and sister, so if Goldie's b/c says the parents names, one has to conclude that if the stone says Ray is her brother they have the same parents, at least one parent is the same anyway.
I'm a Monroe researcher and descendant, but not of this family. I will contact Suzanne Bailey Monroe and see if I can help her understand. People just didn't talk alot about miscarriages and infant deaths, not to the children anyway. I guess I'm judging all by just the way my Grandma was, she didn't believe in saying the word pregnant in front of kids. They may have but it in the bible, she's also dealing with someone who is old and old people's memory fades over time.

Good for you. Glad you found his DC. Since you found his DC and it says he is buried at Moores Chapel, then I would add him to that cemetery. I searched and can't find his burial listed in any of our Fannin Co records. But there are many burials that do not have stones and the only way we have found them is by DC's. At least he would be listed, as the ones we are finding only by DC, we are still adding them to the cemeteries.

RE: Anderson in Fannin Co., TX
Thank you for your reply. Maybe someday someone from this Anderson family will be able to fill in the blanks.

Anderson in Fannin Co., TX
Hello. I am researching an Anderson family that was from Arkansas and had at least one family member who died in Fannin Co., TX. I was interested in the Unknown Anderson that was from ARK. and is buried in an unmarked grave in the Virginia Point Cemetery, in Fannin Co., TX. Do you have any information on the one killed while digging a well or the brother who rode the train to the funeral?
Thank you.
