Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm an avid photographer/archivest, having taken the majority of both my and my husband's family's graves. We take (outdoor) cemetery photos from March/April to November or December/snowfall within an hour or so in all directions of N'east Wisconsin, incl: Outagamie; Winnebago (our county); Calumet; Manitowoc; Sheboygan to the East; and in the West: Waushara, and some of Portage, if we're in that area. Mausoleum photos, of course, can be taken all year.

NOTE to those requesting grave photos in Wisconsin: We won't see any ground-level graves until at least April, given the weather this Winter. Continuous snowfalls; dreadful, bone-numbing windchills; etc. Thanks for understanding!

Here's a poem that touches my heart. It is the reason we are in this service; for both the living and those who have gone on before us.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked On a lonely, windswept hill; Today we talked where other cried For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched By graves of tiny babies; Snatched from the arms of loving kin, In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay In the last sleep of their time; Lying under the trees and clouds - Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot; Who lies beneath this hollowed ground? Was it a babe, child, young or old? No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay. We had been here once before On a day we'd all like to forget, But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin The graves of ancestors past; To be preserved for generations hence, A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend, For stones sometimes crumble to dust And generations of folks yet to come Will be grateful for your trust.

Thank you so much for photographing the grave of my 2nd great grandfather. The puzzling thing is that the dates at Salem Plankroad match his birth/death exactly...it must be him. But it appears that there is also a stone for him in the Wildwood cemetery - it only gives the years but it is in a plot with his wife and other family members. Because he died before the rest of them...maybe a 2nd stone was erected so he could be memorialized in the same cemetery...?? It's a mystery.

There are a plethora of Lutzes in Saxon cemetery, Willing to bet that you ran across several already. Thanks for taking the time to help unravel this.

Margaret Pippert - 75708287
Thank you for attempting to locate this marker, and apologies if It was not clear in my original request that I believe this to be an erroneous memorial and the marker is in reality for Margaret Lutze, not Pippert. The confusion comes in that the cemetery record lists Francis Pippert, OSSW Albert, Alvina, Margaret and Marie, without referencing that these are his Lutze in-laws. I have resubmitted a photo request for Margaret's father, Albert Lutze, and have specified the relationships of the names that should be found together on a Lutze family grave marker.
