I am a retired mathematics teacher living in Venice, Florida. Upon retirement in 1997, my Dad presented me with his family history 'brick wall' and I was hooked! I enjoy learning about the lives of my ancestors and sharing information with the many cousins that I have encountered in this journey.|
I was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where all my great grandparents converged circa 1900. Some were descendants of early immigrants who gradually moved west from the coastal states and others arrived directly to the area as late as the 1880s.
I migrated west to Crown Point, Indiana with the relocation of my parents in the 1960s. Indiana is where I met my husband and spent my working years.
Documenting my ancestors' journeys gives me great pleasure. Please contact me if you have information to share or if I can be of assistance to you.

Hi! Photos posted for him.
1. Mary C. Russell, 1899 - 1988
2. George D. Russell, 1928 - 1951
3. Winifred Hines, 1927 - 2006
If you add photo requests for each of them I will post the photos that I took of their grave markers.
Can you please also make a correction to the text you posted? The rank you show for his son should be PFC with no periods, and the word "Army" should be capitalized. If you were posting the obituary as printed I understand why you left everything with the errors. As a soldier with over 25 years of service it just looks strange.

Hello Betsy I think there was only one other Headstone next to his with the same last name. The headstones have decayed and its really hard to make out the names. Im glad that I could get you a picture. I did take several pictures of the stone due to its condition so if you would like i can send the rest of them to you. Just give me an email address that I can send them to and I would be happy to send them.
Have a great evening.

The spelling on Polish & Lithuanian last names can be a challenge for cemeteries. Many times burials are under their original un-shorten last name causing a problem when somebody attempts to look them up.
Glad I could help!!!!

Hi Betsy-I saw that D Jones had fulfilled your request for Patricia McAllister. I also saw that site and noted that there are two graves to the left of Patricia's gravesite which have exactly the same type of headstones as she has. I know that in my family we all have the same stone and thought that might be the case with Patricia. The graves to the left are for Francis J. McCarthy (Nov 18, 1908-Apr 17, 1986) and Eleanor D. McCarthy (July 4, 1911-Apr 8, 1993). If you are interested in those just let me know if you create memorial pages and I'll post the pictures I took.
