Not too much to tell - I'm an amateur genealogy researcher and don't care to help out others with their research if I can. I'm retired and have some time available to do this. I believe that all burial grounds are sacred, and that each and every grave means something to someone.

I work mostly the western section of Washington County, TN and a bit of southern Unicoi County.

I've basically retired from work on F-A-G. It turned into a fruitless, endless, thankless grind. Way too many errors that I've not seemed to have much luck getting fixed. I continue to work locally and, if asked, I try to assist researchers. I work more on graveyard documenting and restoration. I appreciate those of you who sent thank you messages, I truly do - you account for about 10 percent of the requests that I processed. To the others, please think about your volunteers - they research the locations of the markers, often hike to family cemeteries thru brush and briars, we spend hours and dollars fulfilling requests - It is work and we take it seriously.

Rawliegh Duncan
Gordon,
Your efforts to locate a tombstone for Rawleigh are really appreciated. Please don't give up on Find A Grave, every bit of information will help those who search for their families in the future. They will also appreciate your endeavors, although you'll most likely never hear from them.
Best regards,
Jerry

Thanks so much for the super nice photos of the Duncan grave markers in the Duncan Melvin Carathers Cemetery. It's especially helpful that you added the inscriptions that are almost impossible to read.
Again - great job,
Jerry

College Hill-Evergreen Cemetery
Gordon, Thank you for the information on College Hill-Evergreen Cemetery. I was very confused about the old cemetery that I found just by accident on a trip to Jonesboro. My family lives in Piney Flats and I visit about every year for a while and take pictures of cemeteries while there. Now I have to check my files and move some of the other pictures over. I do appreciate the work you do and the information you have passed on to me. I try not to make mistakes but as my Dad would say "you just don't know what you don't know". Thanks again Tom Rader

Thank you Mr. Edwards! What a nice surprise. I didn't think the headstone existed. I can't wait to share this photo with my grandmother. I hope to get the chance to visit the cemetery this year. I really appreciate you taking the time.
Thanks, Katie

Westlawn lookups
Gordon,
I've added memorials for :
Monnie Pearson Young
James Vaught
Dora Vaught

Charles Young is probably buried in the Pearson-Horton cem. Its called Buffalo Cem on the death cert.

So far I've got nothing on Carolyn Newman.

I do use ancestry.com very much. If you already have the death certs of everyone buried there on excel that would help me.

thanks,
Toby

RE: Fitzgerald
Gordon,

Fitzgerald doesn't ring a bell. However if you meant Charles Bachman, yes, his first wife was Sarah Ford and his second wife was Zillie Pearson Taylor.
