Not too much to tell - I'm an amateur genealogy researcher and don't care to help out others with their research if I can. I'm retired and have some time available to do this. I believe that all burial grounds are sacred, and that each and every grave means something to someone.

I work mostly the western section of Washington County, TN and a bit of southern Unicoi County.

I've basically retired from work on F-A-G. It turned into a fruitless, endless, thankless grind. Way too many errors that I've not seemed to have much luck getting fixed. I continue to work locally and, if asked, I try to assist researchers. I work more on graveyard documenting and restoration. I appreciate those of you who sent thank you messages, I truly do - you account for about 10 percent of the requests that I processed. To the others, please think about your volunteers - they research the locations of the markers, often hike to family cemeteries thru brush and briars, we spend hours and dollars fulfilling requests - It is work and we take it seriously.

RE: Hobart Leonard
how grand to know they are the same person. I always thought it was a daughter named after her. Now I know.. that is awesome.. and thank you so much.
Connie Carver.. have a wonderful day..
and I am so happy you did not get attacked by the busy little critters..
I went to our ancestors cemetery.. and we found a cotton tail that must of been at least a twenty pounder.. never seen where the ears are white.. all the way up. and boy could he hop fast. could barely keep up with him.. to take some photos of him.

again thank you so much.

Carpe Morelock
Thank you for Carpe Morelock's marker photo. When doing research I wasn't sure Carpe was Carpe, nor did I know if the individual was a man or woman. Since you posted the photo I found his father William Lowry Morelock (112194870) and
3 of his brothers and one sister who all have been connected.

I have been unable to find Annis Light (1/1867
Beech Creek, Hawkins, TN - 3/17/1941 Kingsport, Sullivan, TN) wife/mother.

I am assuming she is buried in the same cemetery as William - Pyles Cemetery, Kingsport, Sullivan, TN.

Thank you again,
Barbara

RE: Hobart Leonard
next time you go would you search for a Emma Hoffman, Born 1860 married to Little Doc Huffman born 1855 Sept 10, and married 1879 do not know full dates. but they had Sydney Huffman, Miles Bart Huffman, Marion Franklin Huffman and my great great grandfather Lawton Theodore Huffman.( Lawton is burried in Montana with Pheobe.
The rest , they may be around in that area. and on the Gr. Mothers side is Thomas Leonard born 1847, died 1938 ish. and married around 1872 to Susan Miller born 1852 ~ sometime. they may all be in that same cemetery.
next time if you have a moment or few .
could you look for them. Thomas and Susan has several children Ona Loretta , H.L. Leonard, Omie Leonard. Sallie Leonard/ Malone .& Elbert E Leonard, and Rosie E Leonard , (Pheobe My gr gr grandmother here in Montana.. I know where she is burried at.) then there was a brother Jacob H Leonard. & sister Mary N. Leonard. and John M. Leonard. all of which I have nothing on them other than Sallie married a Malone man.
of course you already found Hobard.
as all we had documented is he died at sea. thank you so much for sending such detailed photos of his stone.

Westlawn lookups
Gordon,
I've added memorials for :
Monnie Pearson Young
James Vaught
Dora Vaught

Charles Young is probably buried in the Pearson-Horton cem. Its called Buffalo Cem on the death cert.

So far I've got nothing on Carolyn Newman.

I do use ancestry.com very much. If you already have the death certs of everyone buried there on excel that would help me.

thanks,
Toby

RE: Fitzgerald
Gordon,

Fitzgerald doesn't ring a bell. However if you meant Charles Bachman, yes, his first wife was Sarah Ford and his second wife was Zillie Pearson Taylor.
