Please let me know if I have made any errors and I will correct them. I am happy to add information to any of the memorials.|
Please use the edit tab on the memorial page for corrections, additions or transfers.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. (FAG guidelines) If you can, please request changes through the edit tab on the memorial.
This is such a great way to find all those people who have gone before us and just get lost over the succeeding generations.
I look forward to finding many more of my own "lost" relatives that have gone before me and are waiting to be found in a little cemetery somewhere. I hope that I may have found some of yours here in Charles Mix County.

Glad you got the box of photos & RPPC's. I will be in Corsica on 19 Sep till the end of Sep, possibly till 4 Oct and can share a little bit of info on them. I would like to get with some of you on the Platte Historical Committee/Museum Committee. I will bring along some things and see what can be done to share my collection on your community with your community. I will be working my genealogy, local history in and amongst/around painting at my parents place. I also have a Wieczorek Reunion to attend. Will email you my contact info while in East River. Thanks again!!!

Hello, this burial is actually located in the Blooming Valley Cemetery, sister church to Hillside and for some reason some historical annotations are listed as being in Hillside but actually in Blooming Valley. Validated using the 125th Anniversary book and speaking with the Blooming Valley Cemetery Sexton, Mr. Bormann. Thanks much!!

Just typed and sent the Eulogy for Lewis Camfield.
I wrote this word for word.

I see that you created a memorial for John Tinklenberg (memorial #82997817). His brother Simon Tinklenberg was my great grandfather. I have the memorials for his parents Dirk and Teunisje, so if you could link him to his parents that would be great.
Dirk Tinkelenberg #106470086
Teunisje Poen Tinkelenberg #106470143

You could be right sometimes (especially in the older newspapers) they mistakenly called siblings children and visa versa. Also sometimes for some reason the last name was altered. At least it is something to be aware of. Maybe I have helped you a little with your family history.

That is correct for the error, I was just wanting the obit data I provided to reflect what the obit states, 1876, instead of what I originally typed 1976. Thanks!!
|Travis Bolt||RE: Dennis Boltjes|
Thanks much Becky--I will add Dennis with the data I have and get the links together. Appreciate your assistance. Do you have a good contact for the Platte Museum? I dropped some "old" photos and RPPCs off last thur morning with someone and hope they were turned over as I had no time to be able to locate specifically. On the west side of Main St on the south corner--a insurance I think it was--the lady was nice and said she would hand it to someone--but I don't recall the name, as the museum was closed and I don't know anyone on the Historical Society. Thanks again!!
