I'm Peter Hakze, residing in the city of Almere in the center of the Netherlands, 15 miles east of Amsterdam. Since about 1985 I'm investigating a.o. my mother's family Van der Tuin (= Of the Garden). In March/April 1893 Johannes van der Tuin and his wife Margje Groen (= Green) emigrated with their children from NL to South Dakota, Charles Mix County, Edgerton (or Overijssel), a settlement near Platte. Margje's parents and siblings Groen emigrated at the same time to the same place. I'm interested in all what happened there to them, so if you have some info for me which isn't already on my Rootsweb site, I would be very grateful.|
Since a few years I'm also very interested in all other Dutch families that emigrated from the Netherlands to the USA and Canada incl. their descendants and I like very much to improve their FAG memorials with more info and photos, create new memorials for them and link them to their ancestors in the Netherlands.

There is a record of Henry Schwanakamp (died 1893) and Mrs Schwanakamp (died 1888) buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, section 2 Block 86. They do not have headstones. There is also a small monument, difficult to read, the name is F.H.J. Genevan, no dates. If you would like, I can take a picture of that section, it is just grass. I see the spelling is a little different.

Thank you, Peter, for the additional information. I've added it to their memorials and I am sure their loved ones will be very appreciative.
I am not related to the De Jager family.
Thank you for everything you are doing to preserve the memory of those that have gone before.

Yes, now that makes sense. I couldn't read that word "tweeling". I will correct the information on their pages.
|Cheryle Nickel||City of Princeton, WI Cemetery|
I work for the City of Princeton in Wisconsin. We are doing a Cemetery Restoration Project and part of the project consists of collecting information about the people buried in the Cemetery. I saw you were of a relative of Betty Marie Bjork Tuinstra, who is buried in the Princeton Cemetery. We have a picture of each gravestone printed and put in plastic sleeves in binders. They anyone who has any information such as-any pictures, newspapers articles, obituaries, copies of birth/death certificates or just stories about the person's life-we put in the appropriate plastic sleeve in the binders. Would you have any information to share? You can email me at email@example.com.
|Karen & John P||RE: Henderiekus W. Luder, photos gravestones|
The first memorial stone would be a US Government stone, which contains no dates, is Johan Michel "John M." Luder, Find A Grave Memorial# 119186783. J.M. Luder, was a Private of the 15th Iowa Infantry during the Civil War, passed away on January 4, 1863. He enlisted on December 15, 1861 and was discharged for disability on August 16, 1862.
The large stone on the end would be Harmina D Luder, Find A Grave Memorial# 158583160, Harmina was born on October 17, 1889 and died on March 25, 1906.
|Karen & John P||RE: Abraham & Jacob Vanderspek|
At this time I do not have pictures for the Luder's. During my quest to find their final resting place I found that a road in the cemetery is blocked off due to a collapse. The cemetery personnel were not on site Saturday. I will be back to that cemetery on a weekday while they are there. They check on me often as I can easily spend 4-8 hours there searching for memorials.
Yes, I have pictures of the Vanderspek's buried with Abram and Jacob. I will post them shortly.
