I'm Peter Hakze, residing in the city of Almere in the center of the Netherlands, 15 miles east of Amsterdam. Since about 1985 I'm investigating a.o. my mother's family Van der Tuin (= Of the Garden). In March/April 1893 Johannes van der Tuin and his wife Margje Groen (= Green) emigrated with their children from NL to South Dakota, Charles Mix County, Edgerton (or Overijssel), a settlement near Platte. Margje's parents and siblings Groen emigrated at the same time to the same place. I'm interested in all what happened there to them, so if you have some info for me which isn't already on my Rootsweb site, I would be very grateful.|
Since a few years I'm also very interested in all Dutch families that emigrated from the Netherlands to the USA incl. their descendants and I like very much to improve their FAG memorials with more info and photos, create new memorials for them and link them to their ancestors in the Netherlands.

|Bruce Myers||Menke Harms Blink|
I have Menke Blink's youngest daughter Anna in my rootsweb database, if you care to take a look. Her name: "Anna Blink" (born May 1864 in "Zanat," Netherlands; died unknown). Married (1) Millard Fillmore OLIVER 12 Jan 1887 in Orange City, Sioux Co., IA; (2) Andrew FRENCH 20 Sep 1900 in Jasper Co., IA. She and Millard Oliver had one son, Millard Fillmore Willet Oliver (1896-1948) who was a Colonel, US Army and who was buried in Presidio of Monterey Cemetery (CA); see Find A Grave #20772171. I couldn't find any findagrave memorials for Anna and Andrew French in Iowa. Thanks for the information on Menke and his wife!

I noticed I mistakenly wrote "Oakland Section" (I was in Oakland before finding the Hillegonds.)
Actually, the Hillegonds are in "Spring Grove" section.
In Part 4 for Harry Hillegonds I was given Lot D445, Grave 1.
In Part 9 for Cornelius Hillegonds I was given Lot C926.
I found all the others myself. The office at Evergreen Cemetery didn't tell me there were others and couldn't find Yda! But in each Part, the Hillegonds are very close to each other.
Evergreen could not find any thing on Myroup. But their files are so behind the times - they look up everything by hand.

Hello from Chicago, Illinois, USA, Peter!
I just fulfilled 3 of your Hillegonds requests.
However, I also found these Hillegonds:
Oakland Section, Part 9
Oakland Section, Part 4
Florence (8/29/1921 - 4/16/2013)
Henry (10/31/1919 - 5/7/1986)
Harry (8/21/1925 - 5/6/2000) - WWII Vet (very interesting headstone)
Christopher (1915 - 1983)- also WWII Vet
Alice D (1916-1993)
Margaret (1/4/1883 - 7/27/1961)
Are these all the same family? Do you want to create the memorials and I will upload the pictures when you tell me they are done?

Cemetery records list a plot number but the map of the sections only lists a large area labeled "Pioneer Plot". It is not drawn in high enough detail for individual grave sites.
Pilgrim Home Phase 1 has several areas that are not mapped in high detail-all of which are over 100 years old.

Aire's son, William was married to Jim's 1st cousin 3X removed, Adrijanna Anneke VanDrunen. It's been hot here. I have been working on my side but am now back to Jim's.
Happy Hunting, Jo

You're welcome, Peter. I'm glad you were able to use the picture for Ella as well.
By the way, Congratulations on the Netherlands win against Brazil today.

|Leigh Ann||Hi Peter|
In terms of the grave entries I have done over the years, a lot of times I would just pass a cemetery, stop and just photograph all of it to make sure they were available online for anyone to see.
I am not Dutch in any way, shape or form I just like to help others and belonging to F.A.G. has been wonderful and helped me do just that. I don't take many pictures anymore since the local cemeteries are well photographed but I love to manage my family entries moreso than anything now.
That's why I do what I do :)

Hiya... Her dated were updated and partial info was copied to her profile from her first husband. It's too bad that his final resting place is unknown. I also gave you credit for the info. Thanks!
Thanks very much for copying all the info from "my" Find A Grave-memorial, which I meanwhile deleted.
Would you still answer my question if you are related to Isaac Sliter?
Not a relative
