Hello! Have you ever had any luck getting to Walnut Hill Cemetery in Marion County, Illinois? We've "discovered" it is in Section 26 in Centralia Township on private land. Pvt. George W. Roper had a marker there in 1975 that said "A Patriot of the Revolution Under Gen. Gates".
Mary Dixon Richmond Hi, Thanks for adding my family members to findagrave. I have created an entry for Mary Dixon, the first wife of James Richmond, and mother of his children, who died in 1787. In 1790 he remarried to a widow named Jane Maria Kittridge - she is the wife who died in 1803. It would be great if you could attach the children to Mary rather than Jane Maria. The headstone inscription I have quoted is from a transcription done years ago and published on microfiche - I'm pretty sure the stone is no longer there. Many thanks, Elaine Bell, Auckland NZ (5xg-grandaughter of James & Mary Richmond, from daughter Tryphena)

Willis Singleton headstone with wife Martha In reviewing my messages, I don't think I ever thanked you for the lovely full shot of the headstone of my husband's gg-granduncle, Willis Singleton, and his wife Martha. I profusely apologize for not thanking you earlier, but my husband and I thank you sincerely. It's folks like you that make this web site so wonderful. Cheryl Singleton San Diego, CA
