Bio and Links
Bio Photo Note: If you have no way for someone to leave a message I will not add any information. Also I will not make links to a burial unknown unless it is a cremation, etc. that goes by Find A Grave guidelines. What I mean by that is older burials, before cremation, that are unknown and are not in a cemetery.

I believe the ones who have left this life need to be remembered however great or small. Findagrave is a great place to do that with a memorial for them. Linking a family together is truly a great thing to do. Although optional I believe a photo of their marker, a photo of the person, or a little information about the person really adds to the memorial. A flower, flag, ribbon or a note also adds to the memorial.

A lot of the information I enter is from death certificates, from birth indexes, from census records, and from social security death indexes. Some of this information can be wrong. If you find any errors let me know. I want correct information. If you see duplicate memorials let me know. If you have any information about the people I have entered that you want me to add let me know. If you want a person linked to their parents or spouse let me know.

NOTE: Please use the edit button in the upper right hand corner of the memorial page to send corrections, additional information and link requests.

You can use my photos on your family trees. I used to think differently about that but as I get older I see things a little differently now. They are just photos but they can mean a lot to people who can't get to where their family members are resting.

These memorials are not our memorials, they belong to Findagrave. We are just contributors who add the memorials and information and then manage them. Thank you Findagrave for the greatest website on the internet and for letting us be a part of this great website.

Chance "Squirrel" Hudson
Hudsons of Company I, 43rd North Carolina
I'm aware his father Benjamin "Jim" was a ditcher for several months before being discharged. I do not know where he is buried. The family line stops with him and his wife and nobody I know of has been able to break through to the 1700's with the Hudsons. Pvt. Joshua's brother Pvt. Evan Hudson (muster roll cards filed wrong under Irving & Ivan Hudson) was also in Company I with him but was captured at the Battle of Fort Stevens July 12th, 1864. He survived Elmira Prison and also survived the war too.

His F.A.G. ID#: 103136388.

RE: Hardy Hampton Eason
Sarah Medlin #42418204 and Hardy Hampton Eason #150951213
Thank you for this eye-opening info of H Eason, I did not expect to find he lived so long. It appears he abandoned his family before 1920 as his wife was in the house of her brother on the census, There is most likely a story here.
Do you think there is a marker in the cemetery and are you close enough to be able to get a photo.
Thank you for the transfer of his wife and all the contributions to Find A Grave I am sure you have help many people find loved ones.
