I've been a stay at home mom since 1994. I got the genealogy bug about 1996 after my father had given me some information on my ancestors. I'm right at home in a cemetery and usually manage to find at least one to visit while I'm on vacation!|
Please do NOT add death certificates, marriage certificates or copies of obituaries to my memorials. Find A Grave used to ask that you not add obituaries that list LIVING individuals to ANY memorials- I have not looked at any updates they may have made to this "rule".
If I send you an edit on a memorial, it's probably because I've researched the family in some way. I will abide by the FAG rules for duplicating memorials, newest one should be removed and/or merged. If I send you an edit and it's not taken care of after 30 days, I will send the edit to the FAG administration. If you're going to create the memorials, then take the time to maintain them. If I have management of a memorial that you want, please send the memorial # along with your member number. Bulk surname requests should not be made and I will not turn over memorial's of my own family members.
Please send memorial corrections through the proper channels- Edit and SAC (suggest another correction).
PHOTOS: As far as the pictures and information I enter on Find A Grave, feel free to use it for any non commercial purpose. I have no desire to try to control its usage or be credited for it.

Is Aunt Sarah and Uncle Bill related to you? I have a lot of family in Mullins Cemetery on Crane Ridge which I have on my page then I found yours of Sarah. I would love to be able to care for my family.

Wright St. being the front with Kellogg St being the left side amd Longshore Dr being the back. If you use the satellite view and zoom in you can see the large main stone near trees in right side back corner.

I don't know the section # but it's in the very back on right side of cemetery. If you need a pic of the main stone I can send you one.

I deleted my memorial in hopes of finding his real burial place. I have no first hand knowledge of this person. I have him listed at St. Patrick's and don't know how I made that mistake. I have never created a memorial with a unknown cemetery so that's something I need to learn. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. Take care.

Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,
Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,Rockingham Va,Hardy WV and surrounding area.
A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we noted were missing.
Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge process.
Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate memorials.
E49 Created above Statement
If anyone gets Find A Grave to transfer memorials cared for by ProjectMgr Just a heads up I dont delete any connected to ProjectMgr.I worked hard to replace all the memorials that had been deleted.Find A Grave choice to re-upload the Old Deleted memorials And we work free on this site.So if anyone wants our memorials Have Find A Grave Merge them or if you dont have a problem merging then more power to you.
I do want to thank anyone that has helped with my duplicants created after the major upload of old memorials formerly deleted.I really appreciate the help.

I've been doing a lot of Find A Grave volunteering in Lambertville and ran across Pearl's obituary in the Lambertville Beacon. I was going to add her memorial in the Lambertville cemetery but found yours, which obviously was the same woman.
Most of the obituary references to the Holcombe Riverview Cemetery in the Hunterdon County newspapers call it "Riverview", so I'm guessing that its name changed at some point in time. It confused me in the beginning because this cemetery does not come up when you search for Riverview Cemetery in Find A Grave. I knew that it was the Lambertville Cemetery from your Trenton obituary - it says she was buried in Riverview, Lambertville.
I would guess that her husband is also buried there, although his obituary (from your memorial) does not specify it so clearly. However, there is no reason to suggest that he would be buried in Trenton when his entire life was spent in Lambertville.
Thanks for considering it. I appreciate your efforts to contribute and to get it right. Have a nice day, Rhonda

Well, that is so very nice of you.
I miss WV so very much, I own a place in Summers county, going back soon to winterize it. Cant wait to move there when I retire for good.

Thank you so very much for the transfer.
Did you know that BILL was the "real life", coalmine mechanic for the boys that was turned into a movie.

Bill and my Dad were 1st cousins. And now they are both gone.
My side of the family is from WV also and I still have a place in Pipestem, WV, but I work in Norfolk VA, that is because of my Navy experience.
My dad was into timber instead of coal mines.
My dad added the "U" to his last name when he left home in the early 1950's to go up to NY to work in NY Naval shipyard, no paperwork, just started spelling it that way and went on paper when he got married in 1954. and then again when I was born in 1955.
