|Gary Stanford||Location of Westerfield graves in Rush County|
My name is Gary Stanford and I am interested in finding the locations of many family members who seem to have disappeared in Rush County, Indiana in the mid 1800's. John Monfort Westerfield settled in Rush County in 1834. He was a Medical Physician who cared for many residents of Rush and Henry Counties. The Westerfields family settled three miles south of Manilla and owned about twenty percent of land in Manilla. My late Uncle, Robert Edward Westerfield, discovered a Westerfield Grave Yard inside a farmer's field. I believe it is referred to as "Westerfield Burial Plots". My Uncle told me that he saw several Westerfield's buried there and many stones which were badly worn. Also, many of our family members were laid to rest at Manilla Cemetery but we're not sure how many are actually there. Do you or anyone you might know have records of exactly who is buried in these two locations? Several Westerfield's have just disappeared within Rush County, Indiana and we have been attempting to locate them for the past eighty years. Anyone with information can please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your help.

I think you have this person in the wrong cemetery. He lived in Jackson county, Indiana. His first wife and children that died young are buried in REDDINGTON CEMETERY in JACKSON COUNTY, Indiana.
Also, most of those he was named after are buried in the Reddington cemetery in Jackson County, Indiana

|Jerri ||Gordon Family Cemetery|
Thank you so much for photographing the Gordon family cemetery. I'm related to the Gordons and would like very much to visit the cemetery. Can you tell me how to find it?

|Dick Felts||Nelson Cemetery - Offut's Graveyard|
Rob: Thanks for all of your work to document old cemeteries. It is much appreciated. I have a question about the Nelson Cemetery located halfway between Arlington and Gwynneville on the south side of US 52. From your photos, the cemetery is obviously not being tended. Satellite views seem to show the graveyard located directly behind a brick house, probably in a stand of trees, and surrounded by a farm field. Did the current owners freely let you onto the property to take photos? Did you get hassled at all? I ask because I may want to see the place myself. It appears from other records that it was once called Offut's Graveyard after a family who owned the property in the late 1800's. Thanks for any help!
|Carol Cooper Fields||Harlan's|
Rob, are the Harlan's in your family or did you do photo requests of Harlan graves? I have the Harlan's through my fathers mother. Her parents were a Charles Kugler and Alice Virginia Wright Harlan allies parents were Charles Wright and Amanda Needels Wright. I am also related to Amanda Needels through my mothers family. Her mother was Opal Lorene Needels married Guy Webb.
