Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a findagrave volunteer in gratitude for all the brick walls this website has helped me to break! I do all that I can to give back so that others will be able to find their relatives too.

I am always happy to make corrections, add additional information, and link to family members. Please supply me with the memorial number(s) for links.

You are welcome to use any photo that I have posted to this website.

I feel these memorial should be maintained by family whenever possible. With that in mind, if I am not personally related to the person, I will be happy to transfer the memorial. Let me know you want the transfer, and provide your findagrave member number.

Edit request to correct Date of Death
I have sent you an edit request to change the date of death for P.O. Thomas. Memorial shows date as June 14, 1914 but his headstone shows June 28, 1914. TY

It was my pleasure to help you find the gravesite. Coincidently, I have family that still lives in Camargo, Chihuahua.

RE: Fannie Carter
Thank you so much for your service and cooperation. It really clarified links. I even did the "other" Fannie's whole family to eliminate her as a "suspect". I'm sorry your email bounced. I have it set on high alert for spam but always catch it and answer genuine contacts. This time earthlink was out of service for over a day and it all got deleted. Others were treated rudely, too. Thanks so much. I'm not kin, just a nitpicker but I'll rest my mind that she is in good hands now! My husband's Lyle family married into Fannie's mother's distant family and I have learned to "do" all the in-laws because families tended to intertwine. I have to sometimes search a whole family, who turn out to be no relation, just to eliminate a suspect. Post-Civil War is hard because the widows and orphans scattered with kin, or remarried and left for Texas! I was also happy to search anyone in Kaufman County because my father was named for his great uncle Dr Robert Mims Tynes who settled there from Mississippi after the Civil War. Consumption was ravaging the population, and his wife and daughter died there at the State Hospital where they isolated and treated consumption. (Ditto for those who escaped to Louisiana.) I noticed Kittie May Carter Wiser (I'm also working on the Coffee County, Tennessee Wisers!) was employed at the State Hospital in Kaufman County before her marriage 1906 to the widowed Thomas Edgar Wiser. Your Findagrave service to this family is an immense help to searchers and their families. Barbara Tynes Claiborne
