Find-A-Grave is a great web site. It allows one to search for an ancestor without having a local cemetery index book.|
We know how difficult it is to research when living out of state. We have met many helpful people that we consider friends and family. That is the reason we enjoy giving back by being a Photo Volunteer.
Over the years we have collected some 6,000 photos. In an attempt to not have them lost and forgotten, we are placing them here on Find-A-Grave for others searching to find. When we find that a Memorial Page has not yet been created, we will create one. If someone is your family and you wish to manage their Memorial Page we would be happy to transfer them to you.

Thank you so so much! Even if they're not marked, I think with deeds I can prove where and when they lived. You are the best! ~Stephani

I'm sorry I meant her grandparents on her mothers side. Her parents are Joe and Edna Pruitt. She died this past Feb. She was the last of her siblings.

Hi Gail, I believe that we have corresponded before about graves in eastern Etowah/western Calhoun counties. I'm putting together a DAR supplemental application and need grave photos for the birth and death dates. They are located at Post Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery near Alexandria, AL. I'm looking for James Bryant (c1810-c1896) and his wife Mary "Polly" Quinn Bryant (c1810-c1878). Please email me at: sjc8665 at gmail dot com. I can give you more information. Thanks, Stephanie

I apologize for the length of time to respond. His mother is also buried there, along with some brothers. Her name was Virginia, but I don't remember the last name when she passed. I don't know where his father is buried, but I may be able to find out. My dad was raised by his uncle and aunt. Last names of Gardner. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll be happy to have you contact me.

Thank You so much for your reply.
Do you by any chance have the contact info for the Great Grandson?
There is zero documentation out there.
If he is like many of us researching we take an about guess if we do not have the exact date. I am trying to find the correct information if possible for all of us who are searching.

You have Lewis Griffin b. 1829 and no death date. He is #43722740.
Do you have any information as to where this date came from.
My husband's mother is the Griffin and I have been connecting them on Find a Grave. I have to thank you so much for all that you do.
It seems there is a bit of confusion over who is married to Jane Helms.
Our Griffin Family Record has Jane Helms as married to our Lewis.
I am maryransom63 on Ancestry. I have info on Lewis Griffin b. Nov. 28, 1834 Ga. Death June 29, 1871 (Pension ).
Census:1850 Living with his Family Cass County, Ga.
1860: Al. Living with George Clifton Family "Blacksmith) birth abt. 1835 Ga. listed.
1862: Enlisted in same regiment as George T Clifto48th Al. Co H
1866 Al. State Census: Joel Helms next door and GT Clifton 2 doors away.
1870 Listed as "Blacksmith" as in 1860 census. Birth date again listed about 1836 Ga.. Living with Jane and Joel L Griffin.
The brother of Lewis is Ransom Lafayette Griffin born 1840 in Cherokee County, Al.
Another brother William Franklin accidentally shot and killed himself in 1861 on his way back from Cherokee Co., Al. visiting his brother. Possible a marriage.
I have not found any existing documentation that the husband of Jane Helms was born in 1829. Her husband was several years older but possibly someone took a guess since she was born ca. 1830 that her husband was approx. the same age.
Sorry to bother you with so much info. I am just trying to track another Griffin. Not an easy task. Have Griffin DNA also.
Sincerely, Mary Ransom

might be his wife, I have no idea. Just hoping you might have something working on your end.
|Richard David Wright||Request to manage 75497649|
I would like to request to manage memorial 75497649, my great uncle Jackson Joseph Nunnally.
There are several mistakes with the siblings.
The siblings listed are actually cousins.
