I've been working on my family tree, and found that I love going looking around cemeteries and getting history lessons. When I find a new grave or unique headstone, I try to take a picture and add it to findagrave. I figure that if I'm looking for my family, maybe someone else is looking for theirs. If I have a relative or friend of yours, feel free to e-mail me, I'll be happy to transfer ownership unless I am also related. When I add a new memorial, I try to locate an obituary to accompany the memorial, if you find something that I haven't, I'll be glad to add the info. Thanks for any help in advanceed|
My family surnames include: Hellums (Helms), Hudspeth, Wages, Harpole, Saxon, Rutledge, Dodson, Beaird, Lollar, Graham, Slaughter, Thompson, Chilcoat, Latham, Parks
My husband's family surnames include: Burdett, Tucker, Storar, Greathouse, McKee, Wilkes, Hildebrand, Abernathy, Hunnicutt, Mathis

I got pics per your request for the Lingo's. I normally clean up the gravestones. I had one surgery 9 days ago and had another surgery on my arm 2 days ago so I could not get down there and clean up the stones this time. I made myself a note to get better pictures when I am able to. I can get a lot better pictures of the stones. It may be a couple weeks though.

Just wanted to let you know I got your message, and will be sending a email now. I hope we sort through Henry Isaac & Margaret "McLarty" Latham children, and hopefully learn more about the children, and grandchildren. Thank you for letting me know you are interested in our family history.

Just thought I would let you know we are cousins, through Henry Isaac Latham, and his younger brother Alfred Garner Latham.

No Marker. I have posted a general area photo. Dilworth is located behind the marker for Hibner.

Mr. Bradley is buried in Confederates Rest, Plat #123. Unfortunately the magnolia tree has completely overtaken his burial spot.

I think these are 2 different Sarahs. There is a substantial age difference between death record and headstone. Your Sarah can be found on the 1850 census in Pendleton county with her husband and children. George A. is the one who gave info on the death record. My Sarah can be found in Marion county in 1850 listed with different children, so it wouldn't have been a duplication caused by moving during the census year.
