PLEASE NOTE: I will have limited internet use for a time. I will try my best to accomplish edits and answer messages, but I do anticipate some delays. Thanks for your patience and understanding.|
I was born in the Midwest, but have lived most of my life in the south. I was stationed in Germany for a time, and have otherwise done a little travel to Europe and Asia. I spend far too much time on the computer, enjoy a good frappuccino, and I ♥LOVE♥ cats.
My primary family names are Sullivan, McCoy, Withee, Fredendall, Washburn, Nesbit, Schmidt, Petersen, Meyer (Meier), Markman, Pease, Millikan, Donnan, and still counting.
I view the memorials on this site as living tributes to our loved ones. I strive to "reunite" them with family, and if I am able, to add a personal detail or two about them.
You are welcome to use any photos which I have uploaded for your personal family research work, but please do not use them for commercial purposes. The photos I upload are intended as gifts for the families of the deceased with no regard for personal profit, with the exception of the honor of providing them, and I wish for this to be respected.
We are allotted 20 photo requests per week. I am requesting for everyone to please use your allotment. Memorials you manage, memorials I manage ~ it doesn't matter.
Headstone photos may assist in providing confirmation of birth and death details, marriage dates, children, spellings, and might even lead to the discovery of additional family members.
Requests fulfillments also provide a small reward to our volunteers who often drive several miles to obtain a photo. I have so often seen where someone will request a photo, and then ask for the volunteer to take a photo of their spouse too, without submitting the request for the additional photo. Why?
It's much easier to request 20 photos in a cemetery that it is for the volunteer to drive out, take them, edit them, caption them, and post them. While I do try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, it is nice if you also request them, so please take the time to request them and please try to remember to use your weekly allotment.
Suggestions, Corrections, and Transfers
I generally adhere to Find A Grave transfer request guidelines, but before requesting, please keep in mind that even a "starter" memorial involves effort to create and I am more than willing to accomplish edits. Also, if a transfer or edit request comes off as pushy, arrogant, demanding, or rude, do not be surprised if you are ignored.
This site was created as a means of helping others, and not intended as a means to criticize, harass, bully or badger. Be kind to your fellow volunteers as we are all trying to achieve the same goal of helping others.

|John Heuermann||Heuermann's in Gods Acre Cemetery, Arlington, NE|
I am a Heuermann relative and noticed a number of duplicate memorials in the Gods Acre Cemetery, Arlington, NE. I have sent you edit messages from the individual memorials which are duplicates, suggesting them for deletion. In my edit messages I included the memorial # of the existing memorials.

Did you type this obit? You list him as attending school in Fremont Nebraska and that would be impossible. But he could have attended church and preschool in Fairmont, Okla. That is only 7 miles from Enid. Covington Cemetery is not in Enid, it is in Covington Ok about 20 miles from Enid. The Blair reference may be in Nebraska, but we do also have a Blair, Ok. It is in the southern part of the state. If you are related and would like to have this memorial transferred to you, I would be glad to do that.

You will never believe the story I have to tell you. First of all I am waiting for the sun to come out in the afternoon so I can take a readable picture of Gwendolyn's stone.
Ok, here is the craziness, I was looking up my paternal great grandfather's obit, when I saw an obit for a Loy, it happened to be Fletcher's sister, Frances. (Fletcher's obit was under hers, I will send it to you). I do some research so I can put the Burris family together and find out that Frances was married to my maternal 2nd great grand uncle Ardath Loy! How crazy is that, small world for sure.

Scratch that, I finally reread your one post and went to her memorial and I get that Berniece is her middle name. Sorry about that, it doesn't show up with all the names in photo requests. I am glad I could help you findthe ones you were looking for.

I have fulfilled all the other requests, you have this one as Theodosia (the mother) but I am thinking this is suppose to be Berniece. (as I already did the mother). Also, I saw another grave, not any where near this one, it was for an infant it was a Gwendolyne Burris Moore daughter of G.S and & M.C.B Moore. I saw that one of your people also had the last name Moore, I did not take a picture of Gwendolyne's stone but it is easy enough for me to go get, would she be one of yours also?

I am glad I found them for you, I would prefer not to create the memorials as I have nothing to add but the photos. I am more than happy to share the photos, they are elaborate pieces of stone but again, give no other information. I will fulfill Martin's photo request and if you want to create the memorials and put in requests I will be more than happy to add the photos I have.

I attempted to fulfill this request. I did find a family plot with four corner stones all reading Burris. There were five name stones found on this plot but other than the names: Bernice, Mother, Father, Cornelia and Fletcher, there was no other information on any of the stones. The father stone did have a Masonic Lodge symbol on the front. I have no way of knowing if these are your Burris's. I have the pictures if you are interested.

Sheila ~ So very sorry that I bothered you under the circumstances.
The cemetery office confirmed Oliver's date of death as being correct. Have no idea where they came up with his date of death in his wife's obit. If you do get a photo of his grave marker, great. Thanks so much for your trouble ~ Jo
