Bio Photo Hi, I am a sixth generation Whitman County resident. I work at a nearby university as a fiscal specialist. I have been interested in genealogy for several years, but have been working on it only the last three. I look forward to retirement when I will have more time for this and other interests.

You're quite right, that is one of the most beautiful stones I have ever seen. Well, I went back and looked and they ARE buried side by side so she must be in the unmarked plot. This was a case of "engage brain BEFORE engaging mouse, Terri!!" Thanks again for all your hard work, they're wonderful pictures.

Columbus & Sarah Stevens
Sincere thanks for the photos of Sarah and Columbus!! Was there any inscription on the one for Sarah? Did you happen to get a photo of the back of the stone? Maybe it's a family stone? I'm wondering because I didn't see her name and it has a Masonic emblem on it. Is it near Columbus' stone? Would appreciate any additional info you can provide. Again, many thanks!

Thanks for trying to find the grave. I guess my next step is to contact the contributor who put the memorial on findagrave and see what he knows about a headstone or grave.
