My interest in cemeteries stems from my drive to find out all I can about my ancestral background.
I will transfer memorials that are no relation to me upon request.
**Unfortunately, there will be duplicates in Greenlawn Cemetery of Hammond, Louisiana. There were only 200-300 memorials online for Greenlawn when I began this cemetery. I will delete my memorial if it is in fact the duplicate; I didn't bother looking for any names as I added memorials one at a time, taking more than a year or so.
RE: Martha Jane Howell buried in Tilton Cemetery, Jayess, MS.
I noticed that you have listed Martha Jane Howell's maiden name as Duncan. Can you tell me where you got this information? Henry Webster Howell was married twice. His first wife's name was Myra B. Duncan. Through my research I have not been able to determine the maiden name of Martha Jane.
Lipscombs in Greenlawn Cemetery Hammond, LA...Kathy King Jones sent me photos of her relatives in this cemetery. I'm confused on the dates of "one of twin infants"...headstone states one date, does not match the date you input for the memorial.
Louise Moore, Memorial# 93992230 Tks, Cynthia, for all your post. Louise's husband, Clifford Moore, with whom she share the headstone, is not listed in Find-A-Grave. Can you add him and his information? He was well known and respected surveyor and civil engineer. Clark
William Norwood Dye Cemetery Cynthia, Thank you for the message that you added the gravesites of William Norwood Dye, Sr. and Mary Lafern Savage Dye. Their daughter Billie Dorene Dye Holland is also buried there. She was cremated and we buried her over her mother's heart. There is no marker for Billie Dorene Dye Holland, so adding her name on findagrave would help provide a record for her. Billie Dorene Dye Holland was born April, 1938 in Oklahoma and died 2008 in California. She was married to Larry Holland in California. Billie grew up in Salem, Illinois. She had no children. She was my step-sister and we grew up in the same house.
William and Mary laFern also had two sons, Roy Herbert Dye and Garry Lee Dye.
