"The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten." -- Cesare Pavese|
I love visiting cemeteries, ever since I can remember. Sometimes when I visit a cemetery and gaze over the area, I'm awe-struck by the number of souls who have walked this soil before me. Sometimes when I visit, I'm confronted by a dog who wants my lunch and when given it, becomes my friend for life. And sometimes when I visit a cemetery, I feel like I'm apartment hunting.
Forgive me if I make memorial errors or procedural mistakes. Please let me know of my errors and I'll gladly correct them. I'm just an old lady who's trying her best.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion...

Love your title, had never thought of it that way, but is just like walking into the fog and listening to the silent voices talking to you.

Thank you for adding the photo and information to John Wesley Linebaugh, my GG Grandfather. I do have this photo and some of this information but am still missing the information on his wife, Rebecca Butler. The excerpts from the book say there is more about her. I would so appreciate anything you have including grave photos for both of them. I have papers saying the two divorced and I cannot connect the dots. thank you so much for your time and effort, it is much appreciated!

Thank you so much for including the wonderful photo of Jacob Brown, my 2nd-great grandfather.
Thank you so very much for fulfilling my photo requests for James U. Hearn and James J. Hearn. I am so pleased to see the markers, as they are deteriorating and am thankful they are documented. The engravings confirm information that would have been lost. I am grateful for your help with these photos!

Thank you so much for the photo of William's headstone. For a headstone that is more than 150 years old, it is in amazing condition!
I am trying to find his date of birth, and I think the headstone says 62 years, 2 months, 22 days. Can you read the original photo or enhance it to see if you can read what it says?
I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to go out and get the photo for us!
