I am always happy to add additional information, create links, or make corrections to the memorials i have entered. I will try to do this as soon as possible. Please use the edit tab when sending the information. |
If I make a mistake on a memorial, it's just that--a mistake. If you find a mistake, I'll do my very best to get it corrected.
You have permission to use of my gravestone photos. All I ask is that I be given credit for taking the photo.
An explanation for some of the causes of death:

|Brian Mugge||RE: Levitt Lamont family|
It seems that there must be another Alice Lamont Levitt. The one I'm lookin for was born in 1861 in Illinois, and I believe I've discovered her parents- Hanse & Alice Lamont from Ireland. It looks like she was a school teacher living with her parents before she married. It's still interesting that she and her husband Thompson F. Levitt moved to Cherokee Co. area where there were similar names. There are other Thompson Levitts too!
I've come across an interesting correlation with 2 Alices. One is Alice E. (Lamont) Levitt, 1861, whom I haven't located, and would like to. The other is Alice B. (Levitt) Lamont, 1867, who does have a memorial, by you. They seem to have a relationship, living in the Meriden, Iowa area. Alice E., married to Thompson Levitt, had a son Sheffield Blaine Levitt who married Florence Vine, both of whom have memorials. Would you have any information that helps?

|Ron West||RE: Esther and Perry Amick|
It's possible that they were only cremated at Santa Barbara Cemetery but typically the cemetery records will say cremation only. In this case it list a plot and location (Sunrise Urn Garden, Northwest-Grave-196). I have requested photos be taken in an attempt to find out whether or not there are markers. Maybe the ashes were buried in various places?

|So Little Time||Augustus Wright|
I visited the cemetery today in Kane Co IL to photograph this grave. I will post photos of that section of the cemetery where Augustus is most likely buried. I found no marker. As you will see from the photos near where he is buried there are very few markers.

Thanks for getting back to me. I saw the Union Cemetery name and did not notice the different cities; I am in CA and not familiar with the Iowa locations. Maybe we should just leave the 2 memorials the way they are..
Thank you, rebeltem
