My interest is in getting the local cemeteries catalogued, photographed, and listed on this site, with family links posted whenever possible. I'm especially eager to get photos of those headstones that are in danger of disappearing due to weather, neglect, or vandalism|
If you notice errors on my submissions, please send me the corrections and I'll make them as soon as possible. If I manage a memorial for one of your relatives and you'd prefer to manage it yourself, let me know and I'll gladly turn it over to you. The only ones I won't transfer are my direct relatives.
I work full-time, but I'm happy to take photos on weekends when I can.
NOTE: If you ask me to include information on a memorial, please explain your sources. I've had people ask me to add information that was actually in error, and I'd prefer not to spread misinformation if at all possible. Thanks for understanding.
If you're requesting a transfer or adding information to a memorial, please use the EDIT tab on the memorial to send me the request/information. It makes it much easier to find which memorial you're talking about. Thank you.

That would be great. Thanks. Alan's son, Don is my mother's cousin. We were just in Chanute to celebrate the 90th bday of Alan's brother, KR.

Do you want the photo of the vault removed or make note that the vault is a cenataph? I don't know if you can delete the photo since i added it or not. I am surprised that she would want to be buried away from her family but then again, maybe she didn't like them! LOL!

Thank you for adding the William Brady family links to your memorials. Much appreciated!
I hope you are doing well.
There seems to be a discrepancy with the findagrave listing of "Charles Seeger" Find A Grave Memorial# 70785858.
The Seeger who died Apr. 24, 1895 in New Orleans and was "George Seeger" "eldest brother of Gustav Seeger" (and per my guess probably brother to this Charles Seeger).
George Seeger "is a man 63 years old and came to this country several years ago". Thus George Seeger who died April 24, 1895 was born 1832 and probably in Germany. He was not in the U. S. during the Civil War.
Source: "The Suicide Seeger. May be a Man With Quite a History", Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA), April 28, 1895, p. 7, genealogybank.com.
I would like to find Charles Seeger who married Johanna Louise Hartman in Nov. 1867 and had four children in New Orleans as late as 1877.

Is it okay to use your photo on my family tree provided I cite you as the photographer? Thanks.

Thanks, he was one of their heroes. His comrades called him and a few others the "the little Captains" because of their bravery in a tough battle.

|Bobbie Hymel Wade||RE: Bertha Torregrossa Champagne|
Barbara, I am probably wrong about the death place of Henry Champagne, he may have died in Gonzales, La. I DO KNOW his parents were Joseph Florien Champagne Sr. and Marguerite Joyeuse Lemaire. Joseph Florien Champagne Sr. was born to Francois Champagne Jr. and Sidalise Troxler. I Visited St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrahan and found their headstones on the ground. I do have dates, I Copied off of the headstones if you need them. Their daughter Elvina Champagne Hymel married to Arthur Hymel Sr. were my gg-grandparents. I could not locate the graves of Elvina Champagne and Arthur Hymel Sr. I live in Ca. and have not been to Louisiana for several years. Arthur Hymel Sr. sister was Caroline Hymel Champagne married to Francois Oscar Champagne, they had Heloise Champagne mother of Bertha Torregrossa Champagne. Have not found graves of Caroline Hymel and Francois Oscar Champagne Sr. Would like any information you have. If I CAN be of any help to you please let me know.
Bobbie Hymel Wade
