I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

|Ryan Sandy||RE: Mount Olivet Cemetery Graves|
Thank you Robert, would you be able to provide an image of the burial lot records for Oliver and Catherine Troup if it is not too much trouble? Ryan_tier@yahoo.com
|Ryan Sandy||Mount Olivet Cemetery Graves|
Mr Viguers, I visited Mount Olivet Cemetery to find 3 ancestors, Oliver Troup, a Civil War veteran of the 20th PA Cavalry who likely died from complications of his wounds received in 1863. We are also looking for Catharine Troup who is supposedly buried next to him and a John Troup who may also be a relative. We could not locate the graves, Section 22 Lot E Grave number 5 and 6 for Oliver and Catharine, or Section 55 Lot E Grave 1. Is it possible that all 3 are together in either lot 22 or 55? We were at both of these sections but could not find any stones at these locations for these 3 individuals. I am wondering if you can tell me how you determined the locations if the stones are missing? Do you have access to records? It was a shame that we could not find these relatives, and would like to confirm the plot numbers on these memorial pages. If possible, it is my goal to have a stone and GAR marker placed since Oliver was a combat veteran and deserves a marker like the other troops in this cemetery.

|EARL H. LIPPERT||JOHN P. KNISLEY -- Find A Grave Memorial# 79891116|
I was reading over some of your messages and see that you must've been a little under the weather, so I'm hoping you're feeling better?
Anyway, I left a message earlier saying I didn't fine Minnie Knisely's husband, John P. Knisely, and now I see he is buried in the Baldwin Cemetery under the name of John P. Knisley, Memorial# 79891116.
I guess I'm getting too old for the way the name is spelled one way and then other places it is spelled another way. My head is spinning trying to keep up with everything. :>)
So, I found him and now on to something else.
Take Care and Keep Up The Good Work,
