Bio and Links
Bio Photo I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.

Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.

Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

Anna Deagle
I see Anna Deagle's name at the Baldwin Cemetery in Steelton. Her husband (Jacob Deigle) and daughter (Annie Deigle) are at the same cemetery. There is no picture, so I was wondering - was there a typo on gravestone? or in Find-a-Grave? Her last name should have been spelled Deigle. Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 36605580
I lost my original photos for these burials when my desktop crashed, so I stopped by for a fresh set. The place sure looks different. Somebody cleaned it up quite a bit.

I added photos for the burial site and the two Van Newkirks.

Memorial #113656667 Pearl Gross Cavanaugh. Robert, Mrs. Cavanaugh is a relative and while she did pass away in Mechanicsburg and is buried at Grand View she is actually buried in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa with her husband and son. Would you please correct the cemetery? Thank you.

Hi. I do believe you are right and he was already on. The spelling of his name fooled me. I am trying to get the information moved over. I understand anything older than 1922 is public domain but does that mean scanned images of articles? Do you want them on there? I can retype them if you would like. Please let me know. Janine

RE: Re: Please copy your William Shaffner photo onto Lawrence's page
Email is so much easier than Find A Grave messages! Are willing to communicate with me via email? (I'm no spammer or anything, just a retired guy who's hooked on genealogy.) My email address is here.

I want to (1) again request that you upload your photo onto Lawrence Shaffner's Find A Grave page; (2) ask about any Shaffners or their kin in your Mount Olivet data; (3) discuss that data and maybe help you format it and get it posted to a permanent, free, public web site.

Re: Please copy your William Shaffner photo onto Lawrence's page
I should have said that I see no problem in showing his marker on his page. Even if another "real" stone is located, this shone should appear on his Find A Grave page, if only to provide an explanation for it.

BTW: I just typed F-A-G with all capitals and no dashes. I believe that Find A Grave processing will expand that to "Find A Grave." We'll see.
