| Bio and Links | A photograph of a distinguised gentleman standing in front of the bank in Pony, Montana, around the turn of the 20th century caught my eye when I was about 12 years old. It was a photograph of my 3 greats Grandpa, George H. as the family calls him (to distinguish him from his son, my 2 greats grandpa, George T.) Sparrell. The photograph was in a Madison County, Montana history book and he told the folks who compiled it that he came to the gold rush in Virginia City, Montana in its beginning in 1864 from Plymouth, Massachusetts. I asked my grandma, his great granddaughter if he might be of the Pilgrims and she told me she knew nothing of her family. I was bit by curiosity but wasn't able to pursue until 21 years later after the birth on my daughter and had the blessing of working with a lady in one of my library jobs who taught me how to do this genealogy thing. I've been consumed with it since 1993 and was happy to find out plenty (and yes, he was descended from Elder William Brewster of Mayflower fame) to share, unfortunately not with Grandma because she had passed away, but with her sister, my great aunt - who encouraged me to pursue this back in '93 so she could find out if she was the last of her line (which she was, except for us). I have a university degree in History, have worked in libraries since 1980 and have a passion for the detective work of genealogy, not only my own but others also. It allows me to be constantly learning nearly every day. I've been blessed with a family rich in history and experience, and love what I do, thankful for that blessing in and of itself. | |

 | RE: John & Nancy Lynch graves I missed them twice in the past year, I'm glad I was able to find them this time. The older stones are a higher priority for me, especially the ones in danger of being lost. | | | B E

 | RE: Sarah Richardson Davis 85251615 No luck at the library, but the librarian who deals with geneaology is looking more. Sarah isn't listed, nor is Asa in the obit catalog, as they died before they started the records. Asa an the daughter-in-law are listed as having graves, but not Sarah. She is listed on census records, though, with Asa and Emmett, if I remember the spelling correctly. She was only 12, and they were in their 60's. A grand daughter? Cindy | | | Cynthia Schenck
 | RE: Sarah Richardson Davis 85251615 I should go to the library and check to see if she's in the obit catalog, or cemetery book. I will let you know. We didn't find her on the last visit there. I WILL let you know! Cindy | | | Charles Fitting
 | RE: James & Rachel Sparrell grave photos Hello, Thank you for your message. Coincidentally the markers for Rachel and James are located no more than 12 feet from my 3rd Great GrandFather Isaac Newton Fitts. I have been searching for his grave for many years now, and I can't tell you how moved I was to finally find him and two of his Brothers, Seth and Lyman, in the same Cemetery. While I was at First Parish Cemetery, I found a few Sparrells. George P Sparrell 1812-1884(Father of James), located with Rachel and James. Charles W Sparrell 1835-1906, Ernest H Sparrell 1872-1946 and his Wife Grace L Lewis 1889-1971. I have Pics of all of their markers. as well as more pics of Rachel and James markers. I also have pics of a headstone for John Vinal 1942-1964 (Not sure if it's the same John Vinal) Coincidentally, I have Vinals and Stetsons in my family. (wouldn't it be funny if we had a Family connection!) I'll have to check my records for the names. If you can, take a look at my family tree on Ancestry.com. It is named the Charles E Fitting Family Tree. Let me know if you want the pics I have. I would be more than happy to send them to you. Thank you again for your message and kind words. | Richardson family Hi Rita - My name is Sara Gredler, and I am working on following all the descendants of Jonathan Richardson, father of Jonathan Richardson who married Rhoda Thompson. I saw one of your comments on their Find-A-Grave memorial and was wondering if we could exchange information so I have your branch of the family included.
I am a descendant of Jonathan's brother Joseph Richardson as well as (supposed) brother John.
My research can be found on my blog (sararoots.blogspot.com) as well as link to my Worldconnect file and my genealogy webpage. You are welcome to email me directly as well (sarakg@yepmail.net). I hope to hear from you. I am working to definitively prove the relationship between these men (as well as their brother Daniel), and am trying to get the father Jonathan's family back to New Hampshire/Massachusetts.
Thank you! Sara GredlerAdded by SaraG on Jun 13, 2012 7:48 AM | | | Reenie Winfrey Carlton
 | Hardgrove Rita, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I did not connect Emily to her husband. I will transfer grandpa to you. No I am not a relative, I just like investageting cemetery and helping people find there lost relatives. This is a real small cemetery as you can see with the 10 or so people in it. It sets next to a golf course. There is a large ranch on the other side of the road. Transfer on the way. Good luck in your search
