Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm originally from Georgia, but have lived in Wisconsin for over 20 years.

I just started Spring 2010 working on my genealogy and family history. On my father's side there are Jones, Nevil, Barnes, Beasley, Stringer, Sheppard, Williams and Andrews relations, all in eastern Georgia (mostly Bulloch, Evans, Screven & Effingham counties). On my mother's side there are Perry, Cutts, Maxwell and McNair connections in southwest Georgia (Calhoun, Mitchell, Decatur & Grady counties) and Farthing, Alford, White, and Rozar/Rozier families in central & eastern Georgia (Putnam, Laurens, Emanuel & Chatham counties).

McNair photo requests
Tim,
You requested photos of 4 different McNair grave sites. I was able to locate only one... Mary McNair. I found 6 markers that were unreadable. Possibly the other McNair names are part of this group. I photographed every site I could find at Gibson Cemetery.

Bryant Cemetery
You may have noticed that I went back through my pictures I had taken at Bryant Cemetery and added records that were missing. I also found Sarah Sutton Chason at Cairo Cemetery and added her and her husband there, along some of the members of his family. I hope this helps you in your search. There are still connections to make but that will come. Are you related to the Joneses in Calvary. My Dad's brother was married to Lois Jones Ausburn. Her husband was I. V. (Bo) Ausburn. Bryant Cemetery
I noticed you are related to the Maxwells in Grady County Georgia and have added some records for it. My Dad' Grandparents (Daniel L Bryant and family are buried there.) My Dad mows and keeps the cemetery up. I have added numerous records for the cemetery in the past. I have been out there numerous times and taken pictures. I cleaned up some of the gravestones so they could be read. There is also a John who has added records. I would be interested to know how we might be related and how I might help you. Before adding new records, it might save you some time by looking to see what is there first. Sue Ausburn Edwards

RE: Many thanks!
There is a Bryant-Maxwell-Sutton-Truluck Cemetery listed in the Grady Co., GA cemetery book.

Says it is located in Land Lot 368. 19th District.
From Cairo Take GA Hwy 111 South for about 9 miles. Turn left onto Pine Hill Rd., trave 1.2 miles to planted pines (this was 6 yrs ago) then turn left and go .1 mile alongside the pines. Turn right onto path through pines. Cemetery is a short distance up a hill.

Hope this helps.

Martha Farthing
Thanks for the wonderful e-mail. I've linked Martha to her husband Ruben. I'd need the memorial numbers for the children to link them to their parents. And then, I could only do it if I originated their pages. If I'm not the originator - you should send a message to their originators asking them to link their parents.

Good luck with your research.

RE: Jones transfers to you in North Salem
Good Morning Tim,
Just a note that I found after doing so much research on the helmey, Helmly, Helmley family:

They are all kin!

Some of the fathers spelled their names with ly and some of the children spelled ey. I asked someone in geneology about it one day and the reply was "sometimes the ly looks more like ey and it began a new spelling!

Have a great day!

Jones transfers to you in North Salem
Hi Tim,
I just wanted to up-date the cemetery. I am not kin to your family, but I do have family members in North Salem (Helmlys & Harrisons & others.
I transferred the memorials of your loved ones to you.
Have a great day!
Linda
