Currently researching the Whitney, Coy, Falls, Bellomy, Roddy, and Nisbett families along with other related families.|
I have created memorials for several people that are not family members because I have found these stones while looking for some of my family stones or taking volunteer pictures. If you would like for me to transfer ownership I would be happy to do this if you can provide documentation of how you are related.
If you would like a memorial corrected, I will be happy to do it. I am human and make mistakes, I did not know many of these people personally so I usually do not know anything other than what is on the stone. I will be happy to link family members and correct dates. If I do not get back with you immediately, just check the memorial and if it hasn't been changed within a couple of days, let me know again. I am not online every day. My hope is that if we all work together we can help link families to their loved ones so families can get comfort and genealogists can find that vital piece of information to help with their search. I wish everyone much success!
Right now I have a special project that I would love to have help from the Find A Grave community on. In the Craighead and Greene County, Arkansas area I am currently searching for unmarked graves of Confederate soldiers. If you know of one and where his plot is that is unmarked I would be happy to hear from you.

|Cherokee2557||Hezekiah Highfill, father & son|
Thank you for all you do on Find-A-Grave!
I am a Highfill cousin, I wanted to let you know you accidentally posted a photo of the gravestone for Hezekiah Highfill (the son) #96913871 to the memorial for Hezekiah Highfill (his father) #60684472.
If you could remove the photo from #60684472 and post it to #96913871, that would be helpful alleviate confusion. Hezekiah the father was born 1802. Hezekiah the son (your photo) was born 1837.
|Rev. Jaynendel Vincent||Pine Knot Pictures|
Thanks so much for taking all the pictures at Pine Knot Cemetery. All of my close family are located there and I had planned on going there myself but with a 2 yr old granddaughter, I just couldn't get away.
I appreciate all your time.

Thanks so much for adding the photo of the headstone for Dora P. Boling. She was my husband's great aunt. We never get to that part of the country any more. Thanks again.

Tara, if you are a descendant of the Knoppe/Greuel family of St. Mary's Cemetery, Paragould, AR, I would love to talk to you! I am also a Greuel descendant. If you are not a descendant of this family, would you please pass this message on to them? Thanks in advance, Lynn Stuckey firstname.lastname@example.org

|William A Bacon||Searching Find A Grave|
Tara, first of all thank you for all your hard work and taking time to help so many people. Please do not take this as criticism as I in no way mean it to be.
It is almost impossible to search Find A Grave unless you use the exact entry that a contributor used for the persons name. For example, I have searched for Joseph Almus McNeil for sometime without success and decided no one had contributed his information on Find A Grave. I decided I would do that and while working on the memorial I happened on an entry on another Ancestry.com tree that had his Find A Grave number listed so I deleted my entry and family photos for him. Using the memorial number I searched for his grave and found it very easily and also found out why I haven't been able to find it. The name you listed was "Corp" Joseph Almus McNeil. Not adding "Corp" to my search resulted in no matches. The name on the stone in question is Joseph A. McNeil. There is a plaque on the back of the stone listing him as a "CPL USArmy" but is not part of his name. The same thing happens if the contributor adds "Dr." to the person's name. I did the same thing myself while entering on another person. I typed the first name of an entry as "Avie" (because that was what she was called) instead of "Avis" which also results in a no match. I heard from a researcher that asked me to change it with an explanation similar to all the above. I wish Find A Grave could fix this problem to make it easier to find matches.
Again, thank you for your hard work.
