Sakeman graves Hedgesville WV
Dear Rita,
It means so much to me that you found my grandparents graves in Hedgesville, Berkley WV. I don't have much to go on and just a little information is like a golden nugget found.
Florence and Edward J Sakeman are precious to me and of course now I want to visit the site, if only I can locate it, as it looks to be tiny.
Sincerely,
Linda Sakeman Freeman

Are you related?
Hi, I noticed you put flowers on the graves of my grandfather's cousins, Sadie Schreiber Seger and Max Seger. Are you related to them in any way? How? Any information will help.

Joseph Plumb Cochran
I am looking for descendants of Clement Hale Cochran, who was the son of Joseph Plumb Cochran. I have some papers that belonged to Clement Cochran, Sr. where he states that he has some old family documents for the Cochran family and the Hale family. Joseph Cochran married Katherine Talcott Hale and I am related to her family. I would love to get in touch with anyone from the Cochran family who might know of the old family documents that were in Clement Cochran's possession.
My name is Lee Doxey and you can get in touch with me at ladsrd@gmail.com.
thank you,

I am thrilled that my daughter in law found you and am overwhelmed of your kindness to my great uncle that I never met, but who lived and died to preserve our freedom.
It was last night I learned that you had placed a floral tribute at his Memorial Site in Kings County, New York. I have been looking for the past several years to learn more about him.
I can tell you this: He was born in Chambersburg, PA, son of the late Lewis and Sarah Peiffer, and was born in 1887.
How he got to Brooklyn and became part of the 307th Infantry is still a mystery. As far as I can determine, he was a member of Co. K, 307th Infantry Regiment, 77th Infantry Division and was part of "The Lost Battalion,". He died or was killed on Oct. 13, 1918, about four days after the remenants of the Lost Battalion was finally rescued.
He is interred in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery at Romangne, France. His remains are in Plot D. Row 7, Grave 39. In addition at some point in time, a headstone marking an empty grave had been placed in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, here in Chambersburg.
Efforts to learn more about him have been futile. His military records and mine were lost in the 1973 fire at the Military Records Center in St. Louis, MO.
I will forward a photo I have of him for use at this web site.
Once again Rita, you'll never know how much I appreciate your efforts and all those folks down through the years have attempted to keep his memory alive.
I am most sincerely yours

I don't understand what it is that you want done to these memorials. You have already been given the management of these memorials.
Please explain.
