Kaherine Heckman headstone photo

Thank you very much for fulfilling the photo request for my great aunt's headstone. I never knew her, but hope to one day drive up from Harrisburg to visit the grave.

The Nitterhouse family is small, but far reaching and has its roots in Chambersburg, PA. Being able to honor my ancestors and relatives on this website with memorials and photos is so special.
I greatly appreciate your time and effort in helping make the memorial for Katherine Nitterhouse Heckman and her husband even more special.

Thanks again!

Thank you very much for fulfilling my photo request. It was especially helpful because it revealed that her husband Paul was buried with her which I did not know. I just created a memorial for him.

RE: Watsontown Cemetery
Thank you for checking out the McQuays...very nice to see the Jones gravestone. It is too bad that you were unable to locate Caroline's grave but at least we know where she is not. I know she is there because an informal survey that was done of the cemetery shows her buried there...h'mm sounds like a road trip for me!!! I will let you know and the cemetery office also if I find her.
Thanks again so much for your time,

RE: Watsontown Cemetery
I'm so's rather involved. I called the Watsontown Cemetery number this morning and they gave me the lot/section/space number for Adell McQuay Jones and her husband Joseph Jones. Jacob McQuay (Adell's father and Caroline's son) purchased a different lot and 4 spaces but no one shows as being buried in those spaces on their spreadsheet. I'll still put in a photo request for all three of them with the information I've gathered...and perhaps you can solve a mystery as to who is actually buried there..or no one!!
Thanks so much for your time,

RE: Watsontown Cemetery
Hi Mike,
I called the Watsontown borough this morning...they were so nice....took the info that I had and then just called me back. Unfortunately they couldn't find any plot it is under the person's name who purchased the plot. But they are in the process of cross referencing the gravestone of the person with the purchaser of the plot...and the woman who is working on this is on vacation. It is a large cemetery with at least 3600 entries and it may take a while...but Caroline has been gone since 1887 and if I have learned one thing with genealogy it is patience.
Thank you so much for this information and I will be in touch if I find out anything further,

Watsontown Cemetery
I have a 3x grandmother that is buried in this cemetery...I have yet to put her memorial page in. I went there yesterday on my way through PA to try and find her but couldn't. If you could please give me the phone number of the cemetery office perhaps I can pin point her gravestone location a little more for others to try and find her.
Thanks so much,
