Margaret Buck
I didn't transpose anything--just copied and pasted from a cemetery list into a spreadsheet to submit to Find A Grave.

Albert Buck born 1870 sure seems likely to be her husband...

RE: Caroline Leffler Swab Buffington
My problem is that Caroline (Carolina) Leffler Schwab Buffington is not buried where it says on Findagrave. According to her death certificate she was born 02 Jun 1826 and died 18 Feb 1891 in Upper Paxton Twp., Dauphin County, PA. She is reported there to be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in or near Millersburg. This information on the death certificate comes from her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Dockey. There is another Caroline Leffler about the same age (25 Jul 1833-24 Dec 1910) that married Martin Elias Howerter and she is buried (according to her death certificate) in Howerter's Cemetery. I am not sure of the exact location of Howerter's (or the name that might be used now), but I think it may be in Northumberland County, somewhere not too far from the line with Schuylkill County. These two Carolines are first cousins. Took me quite a while to straighten them out and now that I have the death certificates for each, I am sure that I have them correct. There is another cousin with the same name, but she is down in Pine Grove.
The right cemetery needs to be assigned to the right Caroline to aid other researchers.

RE: Levi photo
I don't think any of the Levi children/infants have any stones - the snow there is very deep so if they are flat or tiny, I'll have to look again once the snow melts enough. But I do believe that when I took photo of George and his wife, that I took of the whole plot area, and remember there was a large open area with no stones, but I'll check in the spring just in case!

re: William Shumaker
How odd, when both parents (according to earlier corrections sent me) are both laid to rest here with identified graves that, although in the less expensive single grave section, are adjoining one another. I will look into it further, and in the meantime have added the information you provided to the note section.

RE: Aleta Jean Smith Westphal
Hmmml....I don't know why I would have sent that edit. I am seriously confused. Sometimes I think that the Find A Grave edit system is flawed. I cannot imagine why I would have sent an edit that was without a doubt incorrect. This is very strange. I am glad you declined it.

One thing I did get out of this though is that when I went through and looked at edits that were declined, I noticed a little bubble with a "I" in the bubble and when I hovered over it, I saw your comment!

I never saw that before! I didn't know that existed. Did you?

When an edit is declined and the person declining it puts a note to the sender (like you did to me), the sender doesn't see the note unless they go dig up the declined edit, finds it, hovers over the bubble, then reads the note. That is a poor way for Find A Grave to do that. They should send that note in the decline notice email that goes to the originator of the edit request.

By the way, did you know she was briefly married to Sheldon Crane prior to Westphal? She has a son by him, and she had two daughters by Westphal. This will be valuable information once the children pass and people are trying to make the connection. Can you add this information to her bio? Thank you! Deb :)

First marriage:
Sheldon Cyr Crane II (1918 2006)
Marriage date: 29 Jun 1941
Divorce date: 1944

Second Marriage:
Marriage to Alfred John Westphal on 2 Jul 1950

Aleta Jean Smith Westphal
Hi Leslie,

I noticed you declined my edit for Aleta Jean Smith Westphal.

The decline notice said "Not accurate - Their data conflicts with my data."

I can't remember what I sent you... can you refresh my memory? What did I send you that was inaccurate?

I strive to be 100% accurate, so it is important to me to know what error I made.

Thank you!

Deb :)

Sorry it's taken so long to get back. My initial information regarding her burial came from a direct descendant, (her Great-Great-granddaughter) about 15 years ago before FIND-A-GRAVE was around or came to my attention. Phoebe and my Great Grandmother, Barbara (Winkelman) Marshall were SISTERS. They were even married by the same pastor. And they lived in the same town. Please get back to me on my e-mail address: if I can help you further. A lot of these stones have deteriorated in the cemetery. I know she is buried there. Her descendant was very thorough.

RE: Aleta Westphal
Hi, Thanks for linking them. I am not related. I went to and graduated from Saratoga High with their kids, so that is my connection to them. Thanks again for linking their parents. I sent some edits to the owners of their memorials to update their dates and locations and to link them as spouses. Deb
