Find A Grave has been a blessing in my genealogical quest, and an unexpected place to find new friends!|
I love walking through cemeteries, and getting information and taking photos which I hope will be a help to someone else who is searching for loved ones' resting places.
If any mistakes are found on the memorials I add, please let me know.
If you'd like a memorial transferred to you, please be aware of Find A Grave guidelines (Q&A section of "Contributor Tools"), and use the "Edit" button on the memorial.

|LLGuth||RE: photos with date stamp|
I've been putting together a genealogy book for my mother and found a close up picture you took of Amos Todd' tombstone. Unfortunately, the date stamp is on the tombstone itself, rather than on the grassy area next to it. I realize the date stamp helps you organize your photos, but it means nothing to the rest of us looking for photos of our relatives.
If you could at least zoom out enough for the date to appear on the grassy area, we can at least crop out the date.
Thanks so much for your consideration.
(I hope I don't sound mean when explaining all of this.)

Oops, sorry. I try to accurately add appropriate information to the memorials in memory of the deceased and I guess I got this one wrong - sorry. I believe I also added some birth month/year edits based on the marker inscriptions. Approve edits as per your discretion.

Thank you so much for taking pictures at the cemeteries. I do have a suggestion though. Can you turn off the date stamp on your camera when doing so? Thanks so much.

Bless your heart for the nice picture of my Great Aunt's family marker and especially for the gift of your time and attention to detail.

Thanks for trying. I was in Cortland last week, could not find a locator at the cemetery, everything was closed up.
