Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a direct descendant of the Copp, Brown, Peck, Ward, McIntyre, and Shaw families on my father's side. Roloff, Crescelius, Garbrecht, Pfersich, Zastrow, and Ziemer families from Prussia on my mother's side. I am making a special effort to photograph stones at Terre Haute Cemetery in Henderson County, IL. Many of the stones are faded and breaking off. I want to preserve them digitally before it's too late. My Peck & Shaw ancestors rest at this cemetery, so it is very important to me.

As with everyone else, if you find a relative's memorial that I have created, you can have it to manage. Just drop me a note via Find-a-Grave. I am creating memorials because I can get to these cemeteries to take the pictures. I appreciate the memorials people have made for my family members who are buried far away. Thank you, all!

Elva and Thomas Weston
Elva (121266925) and Thomas' (121266860) parents (Mary and Uriah) are my 2x great grandparents. I have created Mary and Uriah's Find-A-Grave entries and would like to manage the entries for Elva and Thomas as well. Would you be willing to transfer them to me?
Thanks!

RE: Thank You
Hi Shawdau

Mary Clementine (Steele) Garrison is my Great-grandmother. She had a hard life, her husband, James Walter Garrison (my Great-grandfather), disappeared shortly after the 5 June 1900 federal census was taken. Mary Clementine, was left to fend for herself, with 4 children ranging in age from 17 to 10. She put notices in the newspapers reporting him missing. By the 20 April 1910 federal census, she had given up finding him, and in this census is listed as "widowed".

But Mary Clementine's husband, James Walter Garrison, was in-fact still living at this time. He was a alcoholic and a bigamist and is found in the 22 April 1910 federal census at Canton Township (ward 4), Stark County, Ohio. He is listed as married (for 28 years). Later in the 1910 city directories, he is found living at 419 W 7th, Canton, Stark County, Ohio and it lists his wife as Alice.

Alice & James Walter Garrison, are found in the city directories for Canton, Stark County, Ohio in the following years, 1910, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1921.

After 1921 (1922-1923) we only find James W, Garrison in the city directories (Alice is missing).

By 1920 he is still living in Canton Township, Stark County, Ohio and has a wife by the name of Alice K. (aka Alice M.) her age is given as 68 (occupation none). James Walter Garrison, died on 27 March 1925 at Canton, Stark County, Ohio.

Hope you find this information useful.

Sincerely

Thomas Gary Ebling

Andrew Cooper inscription
You do have to really enlarge it on your screen. While the military marker says the same, I'm pretty sure what it says is "member of Co H 11th ILL Cavalry", which matches the military marker. I can't read the tiny phrase at the bottom, though. Thanks for your interest!

Yes, please add another photo...it sounds as if it has more information and I'd love to see it posted. Thank you!

What a good idea! I have a copy of that, but never thought about putting the information into Find a Grave. Thanks!

OK. That one's done. If you want to send the newspaper, publication date and p. #, I'd be glad to include that information, too -- if you have it. I don't remember where all of these are coming from. True gold!
